“We recently completed our dream/retirement home in Central Oregon. While it was not our first new house, it was our first custom home. We were basically at the end of the design process when I realized what we had was simply not matching what we had envisioned. I had communicated poorly. We hired Rick to help us tweak the project and he did that and more. Essentially, he delivered the look and feel we sought, beginning with a beautiful pencil drawing of what he thought we wanted - it is framed and hangs in our house today. He listened - and was the consummate professional. We couldn't be more thrilled with what his work produced.”

“Tom was hired to design our home, develop construction documents and construction administration. Tom worked with us consistently throughout the whole process. He was always available for consultations on very short notice. He sited the house perfectly on the property so we have fabulous views out almost every window. He also quickly found solutions for a few small problems encountered during the construction phase. Overall, he was great to work with, both personable and professional. He created a beautiful and very liveable home for us that we will enjoy for a long time to come.”

“Departure came out to our property after the 2013 Build-It-Green tour and talked to us about potential of building an ADU. A year later, we decided to move forward with building an ADU and again, contacted Dan Lajoie. He came out to our property with the notes and ideas discussed the previous year and was willing to spend a long time discussing our hopes for our ADU. He was able to take our ideas and create a beautiful space that works perfectly for us and our property. Throughout the beginning of the process Dan was available to answer our questions, he spent time sharing pictures and showing us ideas as well as meeting with us regularly to look at his progress. He always took our perspective into account and reworked some of the drafts to ensure we were getting what we wanted; but he also had fantastic ideas that we had not thought of and did a great job inserting his personal character into the project. Overall, we have been really impressed with Dan's patience and his ability to turn a small space into something so functional and beautiful.”

“Mr. Nuetzel was the architect and General Contractor for a 6 figure addition involving a center-piece deck, driveway and hardscape in the front of our house and stretching around the side of it. His design incorporated and expanded on the key design elements of the house, and his craftsmanship made it come to life. It was a spectacular success. In the 6 years since it was completed we have had a steady stream of people stop in front of our home to compliment us on the work he did. He really adds something special.”

“We hired Brandon Olin to help us correct several layout issues with a 1920s Craftsman-style home, including a kitchen remodel and adding a second-floor master suite with bathroom and dormer. He was respectful of our need to phase the project to fit with our budget and our desire to remain faithful to the style of the house. He was very patient as we explored different ideas and provided input into what design choices would create the most value. Brandon is very organized, detail-oriented, keeps the project moving, and brings a lot of creativity and experience to the process. I would work with Brandon again and recommend him without hesitation.”
