“Jennifer Drain from Archiplicity was fantastic to work with for our new house design and construction project on Nantucket. She designed a layout that works for the way we live but also has a nice flow and interesting design. The exterior is stunning to look at and really captured the look we wanted, even with tight regulatory restrictions. As our project progressed, Jenny was a great problem-solver and budget-saver. She provided great customer service and creative solutions at every step. I'm so glad we took her advice on so many decisions. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a talented designerd who is reasonably priced and responsive to her clients.”

“Mark Hammer and Don DiRocco (Hammer Architects) listen for what their clients seem to want - and then deliver - responsively, but boldly. I wanted a great big, airy, open style living, kitchen dining area - for a house where we would entertain. What I had was a house with low ceilings, tired finishes and no front door. Mark put pencil to paper and in very short order, opened up the space, raised the ceiling, added beams and pendant lights, and designed an inviting and exciting entryway that sparks a "Whoa!" and a "Wow" from everyone who gets through the front door. Don designed the kitchen and bathrooms, helped us choose and place all fixtures, paid attention to the smallest details, and made no mistakes. Our house got built on time and on budget. We're thrilled.”

“We recently completed a large, comprehensive renovation of our home in Cape Cod. Peter McDonald Architects did the entire design. They worked very well with us to identify our needs and to create a design that was very appropriate for our home. They guided us to a very good contractor; and worked very effectively with them. Ultimately, architect, contractor and owner worked together to arive at a finished renovation project that was VERY pleasing to us as the owner. “Excellent response to inquiry about remodeling with suggestions for upgrades and renovations. They were respectful of the project and my ideas and thought carefully about my concerns. Their knowledge of local building codes and the permitting process was extremely helpful and gave me a foundation for making decisions about my project. Budget constraints on my part have been the reason I have not moved forward with the work at this time. However, I will move forward with Integrata should my circumstances change. “Architectural Design, Incorporated, architects on Cape Cod, MA company principals John Ingwersen, Andrew Miao and Peter Haig are all experienced Cape and Islands architects with degrees from Harvard and MIT, with wide-ranging design experience. The company was strongly recommended by former clients when we were looking for an architectural firm to design a unique home on Cape Cod that was a blend of both Cape Cod/Nantucket and Japanese design elements. We were fortunate to work with all 3 principals who each brought complementary skills to the task. There were many challenges bringing these diverse architectural design criteria together into a coherent, liveable home design. AD, Inc. was more than up to that challenge delivering a complete set of drawings and construction blueprints and documentation that met our requirements exactly and the builder found perfect to work with. The design phase of the project was completed on time within the budget established up front. AD, Inc. also provided oversight during the construction phase of the project consulting with the builder and owners on a number of issues as the work progressed. A number of new materials were used successfully which AD researched and recommended as appropriate for this project. We would recommend AD, Inc. to anyone planning to design a high quality project, especially if there are unique elements in the design that require creative solutions. JDC - Orleans, MA”

“Over 30 years ago, early in his career, Sam Sherman worked on the design of the Chilmark home of our best friends. Our friends introduced us to the Vineyard, and were always very happy with the efficiency of their home and the excellent use of light. When we were able to purchase our own home on the island, Sam was our first choice as a designer, given the positive experience our friends had over the years. We purchased a dark, dingy home and did a near tear down of the existing structure. Sam saw what we did not see, that by reorienting the house we came away with incredible light and views. The design plan he provided not only gave us incredible views but the detail enabled the Contractor to bid the job to the penny. We needed a variance from the town to execute the plan and did not want to buy the house until we knew we could make the changes. Sam’s team dealt with the Edgartown planning board very effectively and efficiently to get the job approved in only 4 weeks. Because we are not full time residents of the island, we also had Sam run the contractor selection process and provide construction oversight. We have built a number of homes before but never have we been on budget and on schedule and never before have we been as pleased with the end result. We would recommend Sam and his team to anyone planning to build or remodel on Martha’s Vineyard. Pamela & Bill Craven”
