“Karen at Transforming Architecture was reccoemnded by my real estate agent as she had done work on his home. At our first meeting she gave us an idea of the scope of the projects she has accomplished and the fee structure. She really listened to our ideas and concerns for our kitchen renovation. Karen presented 3 visions for our renovation, one with exactly what we asked for and then two other options. The third design presented involved moving our kitchen and creating an open floor plan. This was beyond anything we could have imagined o our own and made the best use of the space and our renovation dollars. We are currently under construction but Karen is readily available to answer questions and make edits to the design. “My wife and I hired Peter to re-design our house on the Sassafras River. The re-design included an entirely new second floor as well as a total remodelling of the first floor. Completing this project was more difficult than might ordinarily be the case becuase of zoning and critical area regulations and my wife's disability. Not only was the design spectacular, but Peter was of great assistance in helping us comply with those regulations, choose a contractor and resolving the unforseen problems that are part of any major renovation. The end result: a beautiful weekend home that was delivered on time and within budget.”

Jeff designed our original shingle style home in 1993 which I am happy to say seems timeless in it's clean, open design. He then did the design of our significant remodel of kitchen, family room in 2015.”

“Marta was a fantastic architect, we absolutely love the house she designed for us. We had asked for a cottage style house and despite the fact that it is four stories and has 7 bedrooms and baths, it does in fact resemble a cottage from the outside. Marta's attention to design detail is terrific, we love all the moldings and wainscoating. She is very accessible and responsive to her clients, an important trait our previous architects had not exhibited. She was also very patient with the many delays involved with this project, another trait that we greatly appreciated.
We wouldn't think of using another architect in the future.”

“We have been very pleased working with Fernando Zuniga-Pflucker on two major renovations. Each time his original eye for space and design created a new and enjoyable home out of an old tired one. He listens and is flexible, and results have been outstanding.
On the first occasion, we had a center hall colonial with the stairway and kitchen cramping the area just inside the front door. Fernando’s solution was to swing the stairway in the opposite direction (a solution that never crossed our minds), move the kitchen into a TV room in the rear of the house, and designed a new high ceiling, open space family room that was airy and comfortable.
On the second occasion, we confronted him with a ranch-style home that had not been updated in 50 years. After crawling through attics and a closed-in second floor, his design removed walls and ceilings to create a vaulted-ceiling great room, a new dining room and library, and a modern staircase and balcony. He turned an old design into a modern and very enjoyable home to live in.”
