“I was referred to Sounddesign Group by a friend and selected them after interviewing 3 architects. After the initial referral, I was attracted to SDG because of the variety of home design styles shown on their website. I didn't want my project to be pigeonholed as a "type". I wanted my design professional to be open-minded and easy to work with, and I definitely found that in Eric Terry. He is one of the most easy-going people I have ever worked with, but at the same time he gets things done. The process was simple and fun, and we got everything we wanted even though some of it required both Eric and our builder to think outside the box. It turned out to be a bit of a complicated project, but you never would have known it from Eric's attitude. His firm took everything in stride.
We also utilized Sounddesign's interior design specialist, Kirsten, for some interior help. She was similarly delightful and easy to work with, even within my budget constraints and my desire to do most things on my own.
The finished project is beautiful, and we had a great time during the design and build process. I cannot recommend these folks highly enough.”

We didn’t come to him with a simple project, either – it’s the comprehensive remodel of a 3,200 square foot barn-style building we’re converting to a beautiful, single family residence. The previous owners were going in a remodel direction we felt didn’t suit the house or its location. Simon’s design gives our house the functionality and style it was lacking. It isn’t often you find an architect with his level of creativity balanced with budget-conscious judgment.

“I hired Ananda to provide detailed floor plans for a new liquor store that was relocated to the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. It was a tricky project as the floor plans had to satisfy all of the requirements from the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch as well as the local Municipality before the license could be transferred and any construction could begin.
After only one meeting Ananda incorporated the requirements for the layout of the space into a floor plan that was very effective. There were a few changes to the layout afterwards based on purchasing changes, for shelving and equipment, which she incorporated into the plans with a very fast turn around time.
I would hire Ananda and her company again as they successfully nailed down the requirements, listened, and worked quickly and efficiently with feedback and produced a great product.”
