At the conclusion, his overall design and improvements when far beyond what I had envisioned. He walk through all the paperwork and time needed to get all the permits which allowed me time to take care of the family and talk about the new look. The project is still under construction, but I know my family and I will be happy with what we both (myself and Nong) envisioned.”

“Leigha Heydt was our second architect hired for our project. The first didn't work out due to lack of understanding each others goals and budget. Leigha was a breath of fresh air in every way. She took out the intimidation factor in our first remodel experience. We immediately loved her straight forward honest approach and her knowledge of building a home (she has contractor experience). She was quick at assesing our needs and got straight to work on our plans. The plans were extremely professional with meticulous details that made every process after (finding contractors, engineers, etc and getting town approval) a breeze. Leigha understood us and always steered us in a realistic direction to keep to our goal. She has a very keen eye for use of space and pleasing design... that is timeless and functional. I can not say enough about Leigha, she is very talented, a great architect. Our entire house was dated with a small, closed in kitchen and no master bedroom. Our house is absolutely fantastic now with an open big kitchen, amazing master suite and a beautiful flow throughout. We chose a more modern style that is very family friendly. Leigha was right there with every resource - websites, places to find every last detail needed in our home. Again, I can't say enough- she's an amazing architect and communicator, she's thorough, always on time, wealth of resources and the calm in what could be an overwhelming experience. She's the best!”

Every one of his remodeling projects felt very organic--they felt like the house was meant to be that way. He not only achieved that with ours but also solved some tough drainage problems on our lot. “Collaborating with the Freeform team has been a great experience and we are thrilled with the end result. We contacted the Freeform team after receiving a referral to them from a friend. Carlos and the Freeform team did a great job in gathering as much input from us about how we lived, how we would like our new home to facilitate living that our current home didn’t, and even went into great detail about how we used our kitchen, closets, and more. We received great guidance throughout the process and always felt that we could voice our opinions and desires while also getting good feedback about where we could change or approach things differently that we envisioned so that the resulting home was better. We were offered design options, which we re-iterated on a few times until we landed on a final option that combined the best of everything we were presented with. Similarly, we were presented with permitting strategies and during construction we always felt we received options with enough information so that we could make informed decisions. The only critique we have was that the construction took a bit longer than we anticipated, but the impact of this delay was minimized since we knew well ahead of time where we stood with regard to our schedule/timeline. This allowed us to plan for the extra 2 months of construction. Overall, we’re thoroughly pleased with the interior renovation and our new home.”

“Kathy Rogers and her team at Sogno Design Group created a fabulous design for my kitchen. She listened well and incorporated the features most important to me. She provided 3 conceptual designs that were all great options. After I chose one she guided me through the decisions I had to make and the resulting design was a significant improvement. I now have a beautiful kitchen. Kathy was a pleasure to work with. Notes: the project cost below is for Sogno services only. The construction and appliances cost significant more. Architecture services were approximately 10% of the total. The photos attached are by homeowner and include some old furniture that will be replaced.”

“Dave Ruffin was hired as a designer and architect to redesign our one of a kind unique house and add another 1000 sq f to the building. The project was challenging because of the location of the house on a slop. Previously I already fired two other architect companies, as they could not get what I needed. They either did not listen or did not understand my needs/vision. Then I found Dave. We spent few meeting where he allowed me to talk anything I wanted. He was making notes only. He told me that he'll need few days after our meetings to come up with a design. On our next meeting the basic design was done. There was nothing for me to change or modify. It was simply beautiful. Dave was hired full time with enthusiasm on my side - I finally found someone who is willing to listen, understand, convert crazy ideas into blueprints, and take care of the project implementation. He not only did a fantastic job of the new addition design, architect, engineering and construction, but also completely redesigned existing structure. His vision changed my mind. HIs ability to work with different clients is amazing. I'm one of very difficult customers to deal with because I'm a perfectionist and demand only the best. After all documentation was agreed and signed off, he completely covered the task of getting city permits (we had more than one including 120 feet long 6 feet tall retaining wall). It was a pleasant experience for me. I did read about a lot of issues related to getting a construction permit with the city and was prepared to worse. It went really well. Simultaneously, Dave helped to pick up a construction company for the project. He interviewed several and helped to pick a right one. And... he was hired as a project manager and acceptance engineer for our project. He also handled all communications with the city inspectors and managed general and subcontractors on the daily bases. What was expected to be a very difficult project to finish, turned out to be a great experience for me working with engineers and contractors. There were few situations where I was unhappy with some of sub-contractors performance/quality. Dave was in place to solve them gracefully in a very professional manner. Overall, Dave handled the project all the way from discussing the new design to the last city signature. I already recommended Dave to few of my friends who want to change their properties looking at what was done to our house. And... I would highly recommend him to anybody who needs an open-minded, intelligent, polite (at the same time strong) and very professional designer/architect/engineer.”
