We have completed phase one which entailed knocking out our existing fire place that divided our kitchen and family room. “We were in the market for several years for a house in Laguna Beach before we found the one we wanted. During that search, we heard many hair-raising stories about how difficult it can be to remodel in Laguna, so we decided to use a local architect and were referred to Anders Lasater. Turned out to be a great referral, because Anders and his staff not only helped us navigate the labyrinthian planning department process, they also provided us with a wealth of information about what works and what doesn't in Laguna. The remodel turned out to be much more complicated than expected because of numerous elevation changes on the property.
