Like any job, decisions would need to be made along the way which I was involved in. I was impressed by the care Alex and Kyle both took to explain and ensure every detail was done to perfection, never making shortcuts. I look for and appreciate high end quality and when I saw their website and reviewed the customer feedback I knew they were the right contractor. Still though with small jobs, you never know how much commitment and effort a contractor will put in. That was not the case here, the finished work was excellent in every detail down to how they left the site each day and at end of job. To find people that care about their work is a gem. Even my dog was a huge fan and couldn’t get enough of the when they arrived. I have no hesitation in recommending Kowalski Konstruction and in fact will call again for a much larger project in a new home we are planning to build.”

The team was amazing, from our initial discussions with Ryan to get contracts in place to working with our PM on a daily basis. “My wife and I hired Drew Humber and his company "Built by Humber Ltd." to a complete wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling, basement-to roof renovation of our home. The house was built by my parents 50 years ago, and after my father's death we decided to keep the house and move into it ourselves. But no improvements or renovations had been made in that 50 years, and much work was required. We hired Drew Humber and his crew based on high recommendations from other family members who had used his services in recent years, and we have been exceedingly pleased with the outcome. The house was essentially taken back to its exterior walls, and the renovations included all new doors, windows, electrical and heating equipment, replacement and removal of some interior walls to realign the rooms, installation of new bathrooms, an entirely new kitchen, new flooring throughout and complete finishing of a previously unfinished basement to provide a family room, an additional bedroom and bathroom and office and storage space. We found Drew's cost estimates to be quite accurate and realistic, and we were never surprised by anything unexpected. His workers were hard-working, friendly and polite. He hired excellent sub-contractors (plumbers, electricians, kitchen designers etc.) who without exception did fine work on a par with Drew's own work. We have now lived in the home for almost 2 years, and we remain very happy with everything Drew and his team accomplished for us. Equally important, when small questions or items have arisen since the completion of the work, Drew has been very attentive and responsive to any questions we have had, or any very minor follow up work that was required. We have been very impressed with Drew's obvious honesty, his dedication to hard work and the pride he clearly takes in the work that he does. Work was completed within the reasonable time frames he promised and at the cost he indicated in advance (within the usual variances that would naturally be anticipated in a project of this size). Another consideration is that we found Drew to be a very pleasant, engaging individual with a personality that made it a genuine pleasure to deal with him over a six-month renovation. “I hired Dirk Tews of Tews General Contracting to completely renovate the old condo I bought in North York. Dirk Tews and his crew did a fantastic job installing the Ikea kitchen I had ordered as well as tiling the backsplash, counter and also matching and extending the parquet flooring I decided to keep throughout the rest of the unit. Dirk subcontracted my floors to be sanded and stained by Roman who did a beautiful job using a custom milk wash stain to my liking. Tews General Contracting completely transformed my dated 1980's washroom into something fresh and modern. I have received many complements on the floating vanity Dirk installed. Dirk and his team were polite, pleasant and did an amazing job removing my 'popcorn ceiling' ! Wonderful job.”
