We replaced the floors through out the house (wood) , complete kitchen remodel, paint, replaced toilets, etc. Most of the project was conducted while we were in Maine, home in Arizona. “My wife and I purchased a new house in Phoenix AZ recently and we had an extensive list of renovations planned. Two items were of highest priority in our list of renovations: building an extensive deck and pergola in our backyard and redoing the entrance and walkway to our home. We canvassed many contractors to bid for our project. Vive Construction LLC was referred to us by a trusted contractor who had done quality work for us when we resided in the east valley. We ended up choosing Vive Construction LLC for our two top priorities, and the choice was easy. Upon first meeting Marcos and outlining my plans, we could see that he was immediately engaged and enthusiastic. We envisioned plans both creative and novel, and we immediately resonated with Marcos when he anticipated key artistic aims of our vision and had many creative suggestions on offer to boot. After our first meeting, having downloaded upon Marcos an extensive set of renovation plans, we were both satisfied and impressed that he was able to digest all of our requests and deliver an estimate the very same afternoon of the day of our first meeting. The alacrity of turnaround and detail of his first estimate, his level of engagement and enthusiasm, his excellent attention to communication, and perhaps most of all, his artistic bent, led us to choose his firm to do our highest priority work. It proved to be an excellent choice. Let me list the key characteristics that most impressed us: 1. Marcos does a superb job of producing estimates and invoices. Every task is itemized and given a detailed description and estimate. Regular invoices are produced to track progress and work completed. We experienced no surprises. We paid what was estimated. The level of detail and constant written updates left us very assured. 2. Marcos Serna, and the men and women who work for him take deadlines very seriously. Out of necessity, we gave Marcos a hard and aggressive deadline. They honored it and we were very grateful. They take great professional pride in always meeting deadlines. 3. The crew is professional, very hard-working, meticulous and attentive, and respectful. They are craftsmen. They take great pride in their work. They are committed and involved in the work they are doing. On one occasion, while undertaking a critical task, they did not hesitate to mention that an item may have been overlooked in the planning. The suggested a fix, and though expensive, the suggestion was very critically correct. Many would have overlooked this omission, especially since addressing it would jeopardize the hard deadline they were facing. The fact that they did not omit the suggestion, and still met the deadline, showed great professionalism. We have great admiration for the work done by Marcos, his & his crew. We had nothing but pleasant interactions with them all. 4. Our plans required working with many difficult materials. Some of the techniques and materials required were novel to Marcos and crew. But they were unfazed, did their research, and their work really showcases the beauty of the materials. 5. The lines of communication were always open. We had access to Marcos and any of the workmen at any time of day and would get swift responses to our needs and questions. Additionally, we were always kept up to speed on development on a daily basis. 6. Besides being diligent in their craft, the firm of Marcos is inspired by "art": hence, Vive Construction LLC. They are inspired and enthusiastic to create beautiful work. That is a rare quality. For us, it was a boon and a wish fulfilled. We had two highest priority jobs in our renovation plans. These jobs would be responsible for defining our home and who we are as its residents. We entrusted these jobs to Marcos Serna and his crew.
