“We have contracted with Earthshare Construction to design and restore a 19th century Vermont farmhouse. We chose Earthshare Construction because of owner Ethan Cole's commitment to the environment, knowledge of period home construction, responsiveness to our questions, and an overall balance of authority and openness to our design requests. We originally planned on tackling the project ourselves believing our remodeling projects over the past 30 years would suffice. We decided to call a few contractors in just to see if we were on the right track. I was sold on Ethan as the contractor for us when he quickly assessed our view and stated "We need to find a way to bring the outdoors in!" Throughout the design stage Ethan has been true to that vision and has recognized the beauty of incorporating and retrofitting original aspects of the house. He did a wonderful bathroom and kitchen remodeling for us and put down new wide pine floors in the bedrooms.
