“I am happy to share that I am currently working with Andrew Ackerman of AA Construction in Pacific Grove, CA. He and his team are building a 918sf ADU for me. The build has had some crazy weather related challenges but Andrew has been nothing but positive and solutions oriented to move quickly beyond our un-anticipated dilemmas. An open communication style was high on my priority contractor qualities and Andrew is consistently quick to communicate updates/information or respond to my inquiries or those of my architect. “Darek Janczy of DJ Construction recently completed a comprehensive remodel of my 2,433 sqft house in Pacific Grove. The project included replacing all windows, flooring, and doors; removing 1970’s “popcorn” ceilings; installing overhead LED lighting in all rooms; expanding the outdoor deck; knocking down old walls and building new ones; reconfiguring the front entry; replacing all fixtures; repainting the exterior and interior; strengthening the foundation; and creating a stunning new open kitchen with a 10-foot island. “We hired Hare Construction to do a kitchen remodel and we could not be happier. Timing: the timing we were given as a restaurant was super important to us and seemed pretty impossible. Hare met every single deadline and went above and beyond when hit with unexpected difficulties to keep us on track so that we could be opened and operational when promised. Scope of work: we were given detailed schedules of work and installs that were all met (despite complications with equipment deliveries and specs). Follow up: we were given a binder with everything that was relevant to the work including equipment, specific upgrades, vendors involved etc. Communication: It has become a joke in our company that while everyone has a construction horror story, our contractor does everything we need when we need it, without any follow up on our part.
