“I hired MACVEL to remove a multi flue chimney, close in the roof and reroof my house. The roof was very old and had multiple leaks that had been patched over a long period of time and there was a lot of damage. They did the job within the time they stated they would, and also within the quoted price. I also added a few items while they were working and they accommodated my request. The roof looks great, and the property was left as clean and neat around the house as it had been before the roofing began. I would hire them again!”

“We bought a house from Al Kelecki at HASK construction in 2006. Al went beyond our expectations with small concerns we had even after several years. 4 years after the closing, we had HASK Renovations finish one room in the basement as an exercise room. It couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. This was the smoothest renovation we have ever experienced. Al is an expert in his field and he treats you house as if it is his own. He has very high standards, he can listen and he is always willing to give his advice.”

“Ours was the "Cresthill renovation" you may see pictured on this site. Lisa Manka, the woman behind Hestia, won the bid not by suggesting a low, low cost but by submitting an extraordinarily detailed proposal with realistic numbers attached. She began the project -- the complete redo of an attic renovation done on the cheap 20 years ago, in a 1920s Craftsman bungalow -- working hand in hand with our marvelous architect Ute Banse. Throughout the project Lisa kept us informed of what was and wasn't happening, and was extremely protective of our private space (yes, we stayed in the house during the project). The few problems she immediately resolved -- heck, some of the problems we would never have noticed if she hadn't pointed them out and corrected them. Her contractors were outstanding craftspeople whom she managed with professionalism and tact. The project was beautifully completed on time and in budget and we remain on the very best of terms with Lisa and Hestia.”

“I hired Jeff Raw of Black Dawg Construction to perform a full renovation of a foreclosure property I was in the process of acquiring. At the very outset Jeff was attentive to the details of the project; pointing out areas of improvement that could be obtained at little or no cost to the project as a whole. As the General Contractor; Jeff always organized his project managers and sub-contractors to complete the tasks needed to prepare for the very next step of the project. The Black Dawg Construction team were able to take the broken bones of a 1980's home and transformed it into an amazing retreat in which I reside. I would hire Jeff Raw to perform additional home repair or renovation projects with and feel confident that my initial vision will be accomplished beyond what I'd hoped.”

“Earth Sky Builders have done 2 jobs for me. The first was remodeling my den in 2013, including cutting in a new doorway, walling off a closet and opening it into the master bedroom closet and building custom cabinetry/bookcases, as well as other aesthetic/structural changes (ventwork, removing paneling/installing sheetrock and cedar lining, refinishing parquet floor, electrical, etc.). The work was completed for the price agreed upon, and his contractors were all skilled and courteous. The craftsmanship is excellent, with strong attention to detail. I was pleased with the work and hired Russ in 2014 to completely gut and remodel my master bathroom, as well as replace an exterior bedroom window with a door. Again, on-budget, with attention to detail and superior craftsmanship. In addition to being very easy to work with, Russ is meticulous and a very skilled craftsman, and his team demonstrates those attributes as well. I would not hesitate to hire Earth Sky Builders again for my next project.”
