“So Cal Builders and Design did a massive remodeling job on my condominium earlier this year in March. The condo was bought by me last year for a really great value, relative to living in L.A. heh, but the problem was it was fairly "worn" from use from the previous tenants who I gathered weren't particularly good neighbors. Regardless, with the great value that So Cal Builders gave me when I called them over to go over the estimate, made it all worth while. I had a limited budget, but they worked with what I had. Regardless of the limitations, they did a fantastic job with the kitchen by adding new cabinets, re-flooring and re-painting the kitchen walls. The living room and the hallway got a brand new coat of paint, and they removed the ugly and stained carpet to replace with laminate flooring. My girlfriend and I wanted them to make sure they paid extra attention to the bathroom and bedroom. So that was where the majority of the work went. Not to mention that the bathroom was a god awful mess that needed a new plumbing job! We replaced the bath tub that was taking so much space with a standing shower, which gave us tons more room, new vanity and lighting. Over all the job was fantastically done!”

“Jim Arend is a unique exception in his industry. Recommended by an architect, Jim gave us all the assurances of creating what we wanted in renovating our DTLA penthouse loft, almost a complete interior rebuild. Jim and his team of professionals were a delight to work with and a lot of fun as well. Over the time it took to renovate and rebuild most of the loft, we got to know Jim quite, well - personally and professionally he is honest, high level of integrity, a gentleman at all times and everything was always possible. Jim was cost conscious and found ways to improve quality and workmanship at a lower cost. He always supported our decisions and never, never said anything was impossible. He had his team put together an imported branded kitchen from Italy and took the time to speak, on many occasions, with our Italian designer in Italy to ensure measurements where correct, to the millimeter and then his team (and Jim) were on hand to assemble the kitchen (no easy task). If there was a 10 star category for Arend & Associates, we would give all ten stars to them. As the expression goes, “you get what you pay for,” but with Arend & Associates, you get a lot more than what you pay for - you get professionals that are honest, thoughtful, who care about the quality of the work for you. Highly recommended.”

When they were done, I couldn't believe my eyes, I had a new home, walls gone, ceilings raised and a huge area created for in kitchen dining. The beautiful caninets were just added benefits. I didn't think that was possible - I had the same shower tiled in '08 and it took nearly a month to install. I couldn't take looking at the moldy walls any longer - no matter how hard I cleaned nothing helped. I am so thankful for the Microban feature; it keeps my shower clean and keeps me protected. “Working with Guil and his dream team was an absolute joy. Not only did he work with me to develop my vision of my kitchen, he did so with an incredibly competitive rate. White oak custom cabinets, quartz countertops, custom backsplashes, and some hardware flourishes that really make my kitchen mine. I cannot believe what a quality job MDRN did, all with a friendly and highly communicative attitude. AND they worked within my budget!”
