“James and Taeo Kwon Builders built a beautiful rear entrance with a mudroom closet, bathroom with shower and closet along with a covered patio. They finished on time and on budget despite numerous design changes along the way. They were flexible and accommodating. Their workmanship is superb. They use PVC boards for trim and Hardie cement siding that never has to be painted and will never rot. The tile in the bathroom and floors was laid precisely. They included extras such as a decorative niche and small closet for cleaning supplies in the bathroom and amazingly attractive finishing touches on the covered patio post.”

“I searched houzz to find a design oriented contractor to design/install coffers and trim in the first floor great room and kitchen area as well as install replacement spindles (replace wood w/ metal). Following meeting with four providers and getting estimates, ended up working with Roger/Mitre Contracting. We have absolutely no regrets and can not be happier with the work. The work was completed exactly per the time frame, design and estimate. In fact another small space was added to the end of the job which he just included into the initial estimate! I have never heard of a contractor doing that. The quality of the work was verified by a painting crew that followed, which included several carpenters. In fact, the head of the painting crew and Mitre exchanged information for future referrals. I just hope Roger/Mitre do not get too busy so he/they can return to complete follow-up work.”

And then, they remodeled our kitchen, which looks gorgeous! We have a small kitchen in a 100-year-old house, and they came up with ideas to add storage space that we couldn't have imagined before! We could not have had a better experience -- and we're already talking with them about a bathroom remodel for next year! They are professional, courteous, smart, extremely capable -- AWESOME!!! They set the price and stay on budget, but they are flexible if things change and you decide you want something a little different. As they work, they offer pertinent suggestions that enhance the project, and offer you vision and specifics on how to proceed. “Ken built and installed cabinets, bookcases, and a window seat, installed crown molding and casing, and installed some lighting for our office room. Everything from the initial consultation, design planning, and construction went smoothly and on budget. Ken was easy to work with and always responsive. If you look up the phrase "top professional" in the dictionary, Ken's name should be the first thing you see. We plan to hire him again to install wood flooring, finish a basement room, and add a new bathroom to the basement.”

“Kiwi Custom Carpentry worked with us to design and install our new kitchen. We had never taken on a project like this before, so we truly were at the mercy of Mr. Wood and his designer. The entire job was completed quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Blending of different cabinet finishes were beautiful and fully complemented each other. The wine bar is a true focal point as is the island with glass range hood. A number of the cabinets contained unique features we had never seen before and just love! Everyone agrees that tearing out your kitchen is always a nightmare. We can honestly say that our experience could not have been better. If you want a good job done, go to an experienced company and to an expert who loves what he does. Our kitchen is a dream come true. “Great experience from start to finish. I've had upholstery work done in the past and didn't know what difference high end upholstery can make. The attention to detail was unreal. I saw the chair completely down to the frame and was able to pick the stain and fabric. They used all new material and took the time to line up all the piping with the fabric patterns meticulously. All the smallest details are perfect. My grandmother's wingback chair is now a staple of the living room. Impeccable work. Definitely recommend.”
