For example, she made sure the counters in our master bath were the correct height, so I did not have to bend down while using the sink and that the jets that came out of the shower hit my back correctly. “Ali worked with me on color and design as my husband and I remodeled an 1845 Greek Revival home. We wanted to keep some of the 1950's elements that were in the house while recreating some of the original grandeur of the home. Ali was up for the challenge! It was such a pleasure working with her. She understood our budget and worked within it. She helped us make budget decisions as to where it would be more effective to put our money from a design perspective. She has a real gift when it comes to color. She worked with me on picking out all of our rooms colors (13 of them!). We were starting from zero. I wanted our home to be anything but beige. I wanted it colorful but had no idea how to choose the colors so that they were unified but different throughout our home. She did an amazing job. I wanted to keep the tile in our 1950's kitchen, but still have the kitchen look like it belonged to the rest of the house. She picked out a wall paper that ties the whole area together. I think it looks fantastic. Finally, she was a breath of fresh air, joy and calmness through this whole process. “We moved to Newburyport last year from a large farm house to a much smaller house. Not only was the space smaller but a bit funky as well. We needed to get rid of some of our bigger furniture and get more compact furniture. Needless to say, we were somewhat overwhelmed. We hired Kami to help us figure out what would work and what wouldn’t and how to place things. She has a great eye and was very gentle when we couldn’t see her vision. She helped with brainstorming, placement researching places that would have what we were looking for. With her help and vision we have a beautiful home that flows with ease. “We hired Kitchen Art to do a complete remodel of our downstairs kitchen, bathroom, and side entry hallway, which involved gutting and replacing everything in those rooms. It included new tile floors, cabinets, counter tops, lighting/electrical, plumbing, etc. We are very happy with the final result! We had considered 6 different companies for the job, and picked Kitchen Art based on their level of service, the fact that they cover all aspects of the job from initial design through completion of the project, and ability to help us design our dream kitchen. We didn't fully know what we wanted at the start, but after a few back and forth discussions with Rob he presented us with an overall design that wowed us on the spot. Rob, Kathy, and Chris continued to help us with each of the many decisions as the job progressed. We also added other items into the job as it progressed, such as fixing up a couple issues we had in the surrounding rooms, and they were very accommodating in adding in the additional tasks. Kitchen Art managed all the subcontractors and schedule. There were a few delays and other minor glitches that came up over time, as can be expected on any large project, but we were happy with how they handled and fixed any concerns we had. The carpenter, Chris, did great work throughout the project and stayed late a few days to get things done when needed. The end result of the project was a remodeled downstairs for our house that met the look and functionality we wanted better than we could have described at the start. The quality was great as well, and we've had a large number of compliments on it already.”
