“I had a wonderful experience working with Liza Holder from Homegrown Decor. We built a house from the ground up, and we couldn't have done it without Liza's help! Her eye for detail yet ability to focus on the big picture - all while remaining calm and super practical - made the whole process fun and sanity-saving. From helping us pick out tile to appliances to paint colors and all our furnishings, she was able to convey our personal tastes so well. The best part? It truly looks like "our" home. She also worked within our budget, helped us repurpose old furniture and rugs, accessorize and even make our home kid- (we have four of them!) and dog-friendly. I highly recommend Liza. It was a pleasure! Friends walk in and the first thing they say is, "I love your house!"”

“Haus Interior Design is amazing! Remodeling is a stressful process but Kirsten Kaplan kept us sane! Not only does she have an amazing eye for design detail, but she worked extremely well with our subcontractors making sure our remodel timeline and expectations were met. We did a full kitchen renovation and Kirsten was instrumental in helping us choose everything from the hardwood floors to the cabinet hardware. Not only was she able to find us some amazing grasscloth for a fabulous focal wall, she knew the right people to call for a flawless install. The result is one amazing kitchen!”

With Ms. Saum's help, I am confident that she saved us from making costly mistakes. Her workmen (electricians, plumbers, painters, tile and carpet installers) were all professional and did an excellent job as well.”

“We have worked with Marisa for over a year on the remodel of our basement. We highly recommend her! We are probably unique clients because we did a lot of the work ourselves. Marisa was patient with us, worked at our pace, and was very responsive to our requests and questions during the remodel process. Our work with Marisa started by hiring her to help us design the space - entry way, living room, kids play area, exercise room, laundry room, guest room - including tearing down and building new walls. She provided a thorough lay out and design recommendations, including two great built-in shelving units and a new tiled gas fireplace. Her color, fabric, carpet, tile choices were spot-on. When furniture items were outside our budget range, she came up with good lower cost alternatives. And she always has recommendations for contractors or stores to meet our needs. Marisa is fabulous - her expertise is well worth the cost!”

“We engaged Danziger Design LLC as our overall project management team for renovation design consultation and interior design. Wendy Danziger is a 25-year veteran with a distinguished track record for creativity in specialized design projects, both large and small, both residential and commercial. She has vision. She's extraordinary in understanding her client's needs and preferences while bringing ideas and solutions that are within budget and efficiently implemented. She has developed kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room designs for us that brought a cohesive look to our entire home. Her use of color is exceptional and the coordination of rugs, textiles and artwork was brought together with a keen eye and understanding of our preferences. Wendy's thoughtful and cooperative relationship with builder, electrical, painting, furniture and textile specialists enables her to synchronize an interior design project efficiently to get the job done with minimal distruption to occupants. Together with the seasoning, skills and expertise noted above, Wendy is unique among design consultants in that she actively listens to the client to develop a plan/budget to suit - as opposed to many other designers who seem to want to focus on their own preferred aproach regardless of the client's needs. “Planning for my later years with increasing physical diminishment, I used the building and design team of FAIRFAX DESIGN SOLUTIONS (Martha Fecteau and Sam Scott)) to undertake an extensive ‘Aging in Place’ remodel of my cherished home of 43 years. The remodel includes an additional powder room on main floor, creating a large master bedroom by removing a wall between 2 bedrooms, creating a large, extraordinary master bath with a 5x6 curb-less shower that includes a folding teak bench, moving W/D from basement up next to bedroom, and creating a beautiful office with built in cabinets in the old dining room. All suggested ADA/ fall prevention improvements were incorporated. Both Martha and Sam were terrific to work with. They drew on years of experience and collaboration, pulling together tremendous skill and craftsmanship in the design and execution of the project. They creatively grappled with modifications provoked by the nature of my 1955 house. They both have steady, calming personas.They were incredibly patient and accommodating to health challenges of my own during construction. Martha brought all products to me to choose from, saving me a lot of time and energy. Sam was on the project everyday — either managing the skilled laborers he brought in to do the plumbing, electricity, dry wall, tiling, etc. or crafting himself some beautiful, original wainscoting to dress up the new hallway. Martha and Sam’s reassuring skill, creativity, thoughtfulness and integrity made the remodel a blessing in every way. Marilu, McLean, VA”

“I was looking to remodeled my bathroom and looking for a interior designer to assist me with the design of the bathroom. I hired DIH Design to help complete the task. The owner and designer was wonderful. She provided a design plan that was not only beautiful but also fit into my budget. As difficult arose related to our first contractor, Asisat was patient with us and even brought another contractor to make sure we complete the bathroom on time. She even rolled up her sleeves and helped paint just to save me money. I would definitely recommend DIH Design to anyone. I plan on remodeling my kitchen soon, I plan on hiring DH Design. Hire her, you won’t regret it.”
