“Melissa designed our master bathroom renovation and oversaw the whole project from initial ideas to the completion of the project. She has an excellent eye and a beautiful aesthetic. She was able to understand what look we were going for and helped us to find affordable and tasteful fixtures, tiles, paint colors etc. The bathroom turned out beautifully and has stood the test of time both in terms of design and functionality.”

For my dining room, she worked with a local furniture maker (Brian?) who fabricated the coolest custom table for us. Plus, she's fun to work with, which makes the creative SO much better.”

“SDR did an AMAZING job providing a variety of services in my kitchen/powder room/office/guest bathroom renovation. SDR provided invaluable assistance in selecting floor materials and designed a stunning border around the perimeter. SDR provided assistance in selecting wall paint color, scale and design of crown moulding (both of which I adore). SDR did a phenomenal job in assisting me in selecting lighting fixtures which always elicit major compliments from guests. SDR provided assistance in selecting backsplash tile and countertop and a gorgeous decorative piece for behind the gas range. SDR created architectural drawings of a vanity for the powder room and additional cabinetry in the powder room and the guest bathroom. Then she referred us to a fantastic carpenter who created the three unique pieces. SDR has a wonderful manner of assisting without taking over the project, and in listening to the homeowner's thoughts and opinions and incorporating them into the design ideas. SDR is more than willing to pass on cost savings to clients and share resources. It has been an absolute pleasure working with SDR! I would use SDR over and over again on future projects.”

“Ellen Kilroy at Ethan Allen in Danbury has been my sales person for the last 12 years. She is friendly and very knowledgeable and has helped me chose my dining room set, area rug and silhouette shades for my dining room, a couch, chairs and area rug for my living room, and most recently a sofa bed and a plantation shutter for my den. She is excellent at choosing fabrics. When she couldn't reupholster a chair at Ethan Allen, she referred me to an upholstery store that did an excellent job. I respect her and highly recommend her. I look forward to working with her for many years to come.”

“We actually met Marty in an Ethan Allen store while on a vacation to the east coast. For years, we have been looking for a dining room set. We explained to Marty exactly what we were looking for and he found the perfect one! We provided him with the room dimensions and he confirmed that the table, chairs, and buffet would fit perfectly and with room to spare. Together we selected coordinating fabrics for the side and arm chairs, and he made sure that it all complimented the existing furnishings in the adjacent room. He found the perfect area rug for us as well. On top of it all, Marty was always available by email and quickly responded to our questions and requests. He has fabulous taste, is incredibly easy to work with, and truly a pleasure. Although he is quite a distance away, I anticipate that we will certainly refer to him again for our decorating and furniture needs.”

“I was looking to find someone to help me with my living room , dining room and bedroom. I had been in my new apartment for a year and a half and things were half finished and I was having a hard time finding the time to look for new furniture but also imagining how to put things together. Grace and Natasha came to my home to meet with me. They asked me what bothered me about my space, what I liked and what I wanted. They created Pinterest boards that helped me with ideas and options. Knowing that I love vintage and mixing times periods they worked with me to find unique pieces that I love. Functionally my apartment needed a lot of help and they were able to come up with ideas to arrange things so that they made sense for me . Both Natasha and Grace have a passion and talent for decorating and making spaces beautiful. It was a pleasure to work with them. I would highly recommend their services .”
