I loved the way they came up with creative ideas I wouldn't have thought of and it all really worked. The end result was so much better than I was expecting. I love my living room now. “Having been used to furnishing period properties, I suspected I would be in trouble when I purchased a large, square-roomed flat with no intrinsic features to guide me. Fortunately I found Lisa who, over a period of several months, has delivered a home that is both stylish and comfortable. She is very professional and needed to be extremely patient, since I knew what I didn’t want rather than what I did. After an initial meeting on site she produced mood-boards that were subsequently added to and subtracted from. Having sourced pieces that she felt would work Lisa accompanied me on two days of pre-arranged meetings with suppliers, her presence being invaluable in keeping me focused. She ordered items once decided upon and arranged for their delivery, which sometimes required time-consuming input on her part since I am absent from the UK for periods of time. Lisa has great ideas, is a delight to work with and really cares about what she does. In short, I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone seeking a thoughtful, talented and pro-active interior designer.”

We found it very difficult to visualise the final layout, but Annie’s ideas were excellent, and her skill in a visualisation so we could actually ‘see’ the final outcome, provided us with exactly what we needed. It gave us a focus and an idea of where we were going. Planning an extension and modifying an existing layout is not for everyone; it is very easy to get it wrong, and end up having to modify a poor start! “Jane recently helped us during our renovation to make the most of our open plan kitchen-diner / living space. I was really struggling with an area that I felt was slightly too small to fit in everything (kitchen, dinner table and sofa) but was too big not to have the Sofa. The area also had a few funny angles due to it being an old farmhouse with new extension on the side. Jane was such a help and ended up giving us 8 separate options, all of which would have worked for us and met our brief. Her ability to visual a space and provide layout options that really work from a practical point of view but which are also aesthetically beautiful is second to none and she is also a joy to work with, a serene oasis in the chaos of a building site. Thanks Jane!”

“As an overseas client looking to renovate our period property in Bath from a distance, PiD were invaluable in helping us achieve the home we have always dreamt of. Barbara acted as our eyes and ears on the ground, bringing a ready made team of skilled and reliable tradespeople to the table saving us the headache of trying to source them ourselves. The work carried out included replacing the roof, installing new wiring, upgrading the plumbing, designing and fitting a new master bathroom and kitchen, and converting the cellars into liveable space, along with complete redecoration - everything from paint colours to carpets and curtains. PiD also carried out a refurbishment of our two bedroom cottage, adjacent to the house - which again included a new bathroom and kitchen and complete redecoration. We are absolutely delighted with the end results, which is due in no small part to Barbara's ability to meet and indeed exceed the expectations of a sometimes highly demanding client!”
