“This past summer we hired Landsystems Landscapes to design a backyard retreat for our family. We wanted a space that would be both beautiful and functional, a place for us to entertain our family and friends, but also serve as a private oasis to escape for some peace and quiet. “My garden had good bones but the plants were all wrong. I wanted a garden that looked natural but well-kept, a tough aesthetic to pull off. I wanted lots of birds and butterflies. Mariposa Gardening has taken care of my garden for a few years now. The principal, Andrea Hurd, started by editing the original sorry collection of misplaced plants, replacing the losers with absolute winners. I now have a beautiful variety of textures, colors, shapes and sizes. Something is in bloom in all seasons. We are overrun with birds and, in season, with butterflies. Her maintenance crews have done a great job of keeping her work looking good. The trees are elegantly pruned; each one displays that gold standard "looks like it grew that way" look. Any special request that I make is quickly taken care of. Sometimes I get treats, in the form of new flowers or vegetable starts (I love foraging in my own back yard). “Donisi Landscape Construction Company re-landscaped our front yard with 40+ plants and trees, replaced a sprinkler system with a drip irrigation system and installed paver pathways. We were very, very pleased with the work, the workers and the finished product. Mr. Donisi coordinated well with our designer so that the layout and installation went smoothly. The work crew was skilled and efficient so there were no problems, no damage and no re-work. We were particularly pleased with the installation of the pathways - pavers tightly secured, surface totally even. Three months after planting all the plants are thriving which speaks well of the soil conditioning and drip system design and installation. The project went smoothly with no delays. Technically the project was on budget per the contract. (But let me share a lesson I learned: If your project involves removal of dirt, understand the potential cost and who will bear it before signing a contract.) Overall Donisi Landscape Construction Company did do a great job and I recommend them without hesitation.”
