Essentially, we wanted a grassless front lawn with herbs - drought resistant plants - rocks and gravel artistically placed with some color highlights and an overall feeling of serenity. Andrew completed the job within agreed timeframe and budget. He was very collaborative in the design process, incorporating and improving upon our suggestions. Andrew was also very flexible; he is especially adept at revising the plan during the installation, as required by the conditions encountered. Andrew provided me with the necessary documentation to receive the DWP rebate. His workers were careful and considerate, and left the work site very tidy every evening. “John and Colorworks Landscape were referred to us by a online review. Upon digging around for low water use landscaping and design I found Xeristyle, they were terribly unresponsive and Colorworks popped up. After looking through the picture on Colorworks website I decided they were worthy of inviting out for a bid. Within a few hours of talking to him, John already knew exactly what we wanted. John is extremely knowledgeable on all landscaping concepts and knows precisely what works and what doesn’t. His crew is very meticulous, courteous and neat. They also worked around a finished driveway paver system while fixing an existing sprinkler system which had some issues. It was a good sized project and John made sure that each area of a project was being worked on simultaneously and in harmony. Additionally, everyone cleaned up at the end of each day. The finished product looks amazing and everyone stayed late the last day just to make sure everything was perfect. Finally, he was every fair in terms of pricing and ended up doing many items on the house. We could not be happier with the outcome and highly recommend him for any outside landscape or hardscape project.”

“Robinson Environmental Design did an outstanding job transforming my backyard into a garden. The space was very challenging given the various levels of the hillside. After several design iterations, we settled on a design that met most, if not all, of my family's needs. Although the timeline took a little longer than expected, it was worth the wait as the final product is quite a transformation. The best dimension of the new garden is the use of color and flora. Who knew such subtleties could create amazing layers and textures. Walking into the space is like walking into a different space -- like a tropical oasis. In terms of the work contracted for my tri-level garden is plan several speciies of plants in the upper two levels, build a redwood arbor at ground level surrounded by marathon soil and a lush gardenscape. The plants are in raised plant boxes and at ground level using plants of various dimensions. Irrigation was installed to keep the plants happy and healthy. Overall, I would recommend RED for your garden as the product was transformative.”

The quote was adherred to the project, the clean up after work was completed, the choice of plants was perfect ans on.y 1 small one had to be replaced which was done and the overall design was beautiful and met my vision! My timing with workers had to be flexible as I had simultaneous projects going on and Bret acconmmodated for this without frustration. All items remain healthy and many stop to compliment the work. I would highly reccommend Gravel and Green.”

“To everyone with a yard ! You should see mine. Paul Nota and his Lost West team gave us a beautiful view to admire in both the front and back yards. He took our backyard from a blank canvas to the south of France. My back yard has an in-ground, tiled, rectangle pool centered in the view with a provincial grey pebble surround. The yard is flanked with greenery and a unique basket-weave fence constructed by Paul. All of the plants he brought in 5 years ago are still thriving and right now in full bloom. We are living with orange blossoms and lavender scents among other herbs and perennials. Our front yard was mostly planted at the time, but not doing well. Paul put in a professional grade watering system and added more plants. It was such a pleasure and so easy to work with Paul. I highly recommend Lost West to improve your home and garden.”
