Rob met with me personally to review what we wanted and turned around a quick estimate that he was able to work with me on based on our budget. Rob's Project Manager, Mike, did a great job of getting all the work done in a day while being sensitive to my wife at home on maternity leave with an infant. Rob talked to me after the sod install was complete to make sure everything was completed to satisfaction and give me sod care and watering instructions. I can say that Lenhoff's Landscaping did a better job that we could have anticipated, and they did a great job of cleaning up afterwards to make it seem like they were never there and we've had a beautiful lawn all along! “Jennifer recently worked with me to redesign my garden to include a pool and travertine patio surrounded by four raised flower beds. I found her on the internet, and engaged her after an initial conference when it was clear that she had the imagination and skill to work within the constraints of a historic house and a hardheaded gardener determined to hang onto many heritage plants. While there were many subsequent tweaks, we never really varied much from her initial design, because she listened so well that her first design incorporated all that I was looking for. Her design, her selection of materials, and her ability to work everything I wanted to save from my old garden into a rational and symmetrical but informal garden plan are, I am certain, going to win her another award. I then engaged Jen to supervise construction, and that was a good move. She was constantly in touch with the various contractors, often working alongside. When problems arose, she had several solutions ready to present before she told me about the problem. Inevitably things came up that had not been included in the initial budget she had prepared so carefully, but she made me aware all along of choices and their costs, so I never felt sandbagged. Best of all, she stuck to her estimate of major construction costs even when the actual cost must have far exceeded the budgeted amount. I could never have dealt with the various trades as well as she did, lacking both time and knowledge. While I value her design skills, I must say that without her supervision, I know this project would have cost far more, taken much longer, and probably not turned out as well. Jen is now working with me on the interior of the pool house. I simply do not have the time to shop during tax season, and am finding it wonderful to have her do the leg work so that my involvement is limited to choosing from alternatives and writing checks. The pictures she creates enable me to envision choices so easily that I'm looking forward to working with her on other interior projects. At least four of my friends are planning to consult with Jen even though my project is far from finished- my garden in winter is not much to see! I recommend her wholeheartedly. Not only is she skillful- she is delightful to work with. I will post a photo when the project is completed later this year.”
