“We wanted a change to our rather pedestrian front lawn. We were recommended to Urban Oasis by a satisfied friend. Essentially, we wanted a grassless front lawn with herbs - drought resistant plants - rocks and gravel artistically placed with some color highlights and an overall feeling of serenity. We reviewed some lawns that we liked and Urban Oasis came up with a unique design that met our needs but was cost effective. Debbie G. submitted drawings and estimates. Her crews were superb. She worked right along with the gardeners and supervised the tree trimmers, etc., Project came in under estimate..”

She oversaw the job from beginning to end and was always available to answer questions or to help make last minute changes without a problem. “We are extremely pleased with the entire process of working with Sacred Space Garden Design. Karen created a design that captured exactly what we wanted in our front and back yard landscaping project. Omar executed on the plan and added in so many thoughtful details that were not anticipated in the beginning but were the extra little things that turned a project from good to great. Omar and Karen's employees were always courteous and treated us with a high level of respect even stopping what they were doing when our young children had to walk by just to make sure they stayed safe. In certain situations, my wife and I added additional ideas and Karen and Omar were always receptive to our ideas and worked them into the final product. Karen and Omar are so customer focused and professional to work with it made the whole process something we look back on with a smile. We actually miss the crew being around the house now that the work is done (so we have hired them on to be our full time gardeners!).”

“Andrew Epstein of GLD Landscape & Design removed our turf and plants (both front and back yards) and installed a beautiful drought resistant landscape. Andrew completed the job within agreed timeframe and budget. He was very collaborative in the design process, incorporating and improving upon our suggestions. Andrew was also very flexible; he is especially adept at revising the plan during the installation, as required by the conditions encountered. Andrew provided me with the necessary documentation to receive the DWP rebate. His workers were careful and considerate, and left the work site very tidy every evening. Our yard is now the envy of our neighbors.”

“I would give Bret 5 stars! The quote was adherred to the project, the clean up after work was completed, the choice of plants was perfect ans on.y 1 small one had to be replaced which was done and the overall design was beautiful and met my vision! My timing with workers had to be flexible as I had simultaneous projects going on and Bret acconmmodated for this without frustration. All items remain healthy and many stop to compliment the work. I would highly reccommend Gravel and Green.”

“To everyone with a yard ! You should see mine. Paul Nota and his Lost West team gave us a beautiful view to admire in both the front and back yards. He took our backyard from a blank canvas to the south of France. My back yard has an in-ground, tiled, rectangle pool centered in the view with a provincial grey pebble surround. The yard is flanked with greenery and a unique basket-weave fence constructed by Paul. All of the plants he brought in 5 years ago are still thriving and right now in full bloom. We are living with orange blossoms and lavender scents among other herbs and perennials. Our front yard was mostly planted at the time, but not doing well. Paul put in a professional grade watering system and added more plants. It was such a pleasure and so easy to work with Paul. I highly recommend Lost West to improve your home and garden.”

“Pia did a great job designing and installing our new drought-tolerant landscaping. She listened to us when we described what we wanted and was flexible in changing the design to accommodate changes required by our homeowners association and our anticipated use of the property. She picked plants that provide us with a wide variety of color and texture and with different blooming seasons, so that our gardens will be always colorful and changing. She and her team also worked very efficiently, and she coordinated very well with the contractor who we hired to pull up our lawns and cut up parts of our concrete patio in accordance with Pia's designs.”
