“I first contacted Doolittle Design to build me a custom desk. I wanted a desk with a clean modern design that would fit in my home office. Troy, the designer, met with me to discuss what I was looking for. I told him that I was open to the design and materials but the dimensions would have to fit a certain space in my office. He looked at my height and measured the room. We discussed the proper height based on the use of the desk. He also discussed with me the different types of reclaimed wood he either had in stock or could get if necessary. Troy came back with an illustrated design of the desk along with a sample of the reclaimed wood he chose for it. This is where it became interesting. See, Troy just doesn’t work with any type of wood he works with wood that has stories. The wood chosen for my desk was made out of reclaimed, old-growth redwood from lumber salvaged from the Lindsay Olive Company in the California’s Central Valley. The tanks that were used for soaking the olives were made of this wood. It was beautiful after Troy cleaned up and finished it. We made some adjustments and Troy went off to build the desk. I have had this desk now for several months and could not be any happier. Having a beautiful custom piece of furniture that is very pragmatic in my office not only adds to the aesthetics but also enhances my creativity and well-being. I just love all the character in the reclaimed wood. The water stains in this material are so dramatic. I just haven't seen that in other new furniture before. I would definitely recommend Doolittle Design for any of your custom furniture needs.”

I needed a budget-priced option that would still allow me to customize things, and Dodi was the perfect fit for my needs. I was able to customize all the cabinet dimensions to fit my space and choose materials that fit with my design. Dodi provided assistance throughout the process, samples of the materials for me to review, and quickly took care of some minor issues with the cabinets once they were received. “We loved the job they did! I'm happy to be a referral for them. We were originally referred to them from our contractor and they were competitively priced. They came out and gave us some interesting ideas that we took them up on. They are a very friendly and a warm family run business. If you don't use a general contractor and go with them direct, that's totally fine and they are great to work with, but I do advise you to make sure you keep on top of the measurements. Make sure you're on the same page with the exact dimensions of everything especially the inserts that go inside the cabinets if you choose them. Triple check everything! We had a couple issues that could have gone sideways but I must say in the end, they made everything right and went out of their way to make sure we were completely happy. As far as the quality and installation, it's exceptional. Per the photos, they take great care to design, build and install. They really create great cabinets and really want to do a great job for their customers. They got another one for life!”

“I hired CC for a modern residential interior project which had a series of modern Birch ply feature pieces of fitted furniture with built in lighting. The whole interior scheme was dependant on a high quality install of these of the items which all carry a very specific look. I certainly wouldn't trust just anyone to build my designs. The Guys did a fantastic job, I am thrilled with how well the pieces turned out. The machining work was sharp, the finishing was good, the install process was good and the client is very happy. I thought the prices were fair for a good quality job. I enjoyed working with team and will definitely be working with them again. In fact they are working with me on another modern domestic interior project.”
