Our old kitchen was starting to fall apart -literally- and with Rubens we designed a whole new one. We communicated our budget and we found ways to stick with it. We designed a bar area that could sit up to 8 people and with 4 permanent seats...we moved closet space to be part for the bar to create a more open kitchen. We redid the backslash with glass tile. Our design philosophy was to keep it very light, so we used light grey almost off white closets without handles and a light grey marble counter top. Rubens built in a new microwave/oven combo. He single-handedly saved our project because he stands by his work and simply wants to ensure the client is happy, even if that costs him his own happiness (and profit margins). After looking at our plans, he gave great advice and even made a few suggestions for the layout. He has incredible attention to detail, and is very clean, organized, and professional.
