After considering a
500+ square foot addition to the first floor, Robertson recommended to the client to

the addition entirely. “The renovation
they were considering nearly doubled the first floor in size; it would have
been wonderful, but it was overkill for the house.” Robertson convinced the homeowners to pursue a
rework of the existing space, which was more in keeping with the scale of
their home.
Putting the sink on the island gave us room
to breathe in all the work areas of the kitchen. It also provides a view while doing the
dishes!
The homeowners wanted a light, airy and clean look with
classic details. But they were also very
specific about their need for robust, low maintenance finishes, especially for
the countertops. PentalQuartz in Lattice worked well for the
countertops because it has a soft veining pattern that is very neutral and
classic. Mirrored accents and stainless steel toekicks help reflect light throughout the kitchen.
