Bonjour Marie Helene, Pourquoi pas de l'ardoise naturelle ou stratifiée aux tons chauds et dorés comme backsplash ? Ou bien plus claire avec des placards (armoires) blancs et du bois de la même couleur que votre plancher à la place du granit pour le comptoir ? Bonne journée Kristell

Bonjour! J'ai déjà fait une publication à ce sujet récemment, mais je voulais apporter quelques précisions. Je désire installer un dosseret de céramique dans ma cuisine. Tout d'abord, je vais enlever la bande de céramique foncée existante puisque je la trouve trop foncée et trop chargée. Il y a une rampe DEL sous mes armoires. Enfin, la cuisine, la salle à manger et le salon sont à aire ouverte et les couleurs sont neutres (blanc, gris, beige, brun, noir). Dans les photos, vous verrez aussi les chaises et la table que je vais avoir. Sur la dernière photo, vous verrez un espace vide entre la cuisine et la salle à manger. Je ne suis pas encore sûr de ce que je ferai de cet endroit. Je n'y mettrai pas de meubles, mais je pensais à y mettre des cadres ou un tableau noir. Merci!

Good news for the change of flooring, what kind? Concerning the Island, how big? Great news concerning the backspash, countertop and cabinet colors. Any idea of the new choices? Yous seem to have 2 questions: do I raise the counter height? Why not? just add a 3" filler between the cabinets and the new counter. Since your are changing the color of the cabinets and doors, this new band can easily be integrated with the same treatment. Concerning the fridge, if you keep a big American-style fridge, what to you expect? It's alone in a corner. It will always be alone in the corner, especially if you intend on keeping the reste of the existing kitchen. Perhaps add a deep upper cabinet and a small full height storage cabinet to the left? It looks like some added storage would not be a bad idea. I'd say that you need some better photos and perhaps a better "overall idea". It looks like you have several elements that are not intergrate ,like a dishwasher and stove/oven? Canada? USA? I'd think about changing the overhead light and finding a way to integrate the garbage can and automatic vaccum. You talk about a low budget project, but it seems like your changing a lot of things. Try bringing in a specialzed contractor to provide assistance in your choices based on "easy fixes". Good luck, Lynn
