what should I do on this wall
I have a wall in my great room that has three small windows up high and is blank below. Should I just leave it without anything or add some art or something under the windows. I am stumped with this one. The only thing I have added to this room that is not shown in the picture is a large square walnut coffee table and the things you see above the couch back at gone also.

Commentaires (2)I see your point, It does look ugly :) Since its a rental apartment, do you have the authorization to remove it ? Because unfortunately, you can't put down vinyle over lino, it will not work (and its not because of the uneven floor). You can remove the lino and put another one, less ugly. It can be nice actually :) http://designmag.fr/design-dinterieur/lino-sol.html You are speaking about sticker, its quite cheap, why not trying and see if it fits with an uneven floor ? Although Im not sure that it will look pretty. Last solution, you can paint the lino, it will not last forever but it could be nice. Ask for expert advice to by the appropriate painting pots.... Commentaires (0)This is the wall of my living room leading up to the stairs. We would like to paint a wall - hubby thinks wall with painting and chimney which protrudes from the wall. I'm inclined to think the back wall on either side of the chimney (more work). What do you think - we do have high ceilings... Now the second problem is the staircase...we will varnish the stairs the same colour as the parquet BUT...the banisters and upright were painted white at some point partially sanded and now look strange. I want to paint them because there is a lot of crevices and I think it will be too much work to sand it all done. We are leaning towards a darker colour - in the picture it looks black but in fact it's a a dark shade of blue. I was also thinking of F&Bs "Black Blue". I would like any and all suggestions on where to paint and colour ideas. Thanks so much!... Voir plusColours - which & where!?

Commentaires (84)bonjour, ils sont très bien les rideaux que vous avez trouvé, le bleu est bien clair et dans les tons pastels que nous utilisions beaucoup en Scandinavie. Le bleu assortie pour le coussin est parfait. Si vous souhaitez vous rapprocher du style Scandinave il faut choisir entre rideaux et voilage comme on ne mets jamais le deux, beaucoup trop lourd pour nous intérieurs ou on essaye toujours garder une luminosité maximale. En Tunisie vous avez le problème contraire donc il faudra s'adapter et trouver une équilibre entre le style Scandinave et vous besoins. Si vous souhaitez avoir une voilage je conseillerai vivement un blanc uni, sans rayure! votre tableau bleu et jaune sera très bien avec l'ensemble, il est très beau!... Voir pluscubby14

il y a 5 ansThe tv is in an alcove next to the fireplace. Hard to see in this photo but we have since replaced the doors on the console with walnut to lighten it up a bit so it doesn't look like a black hole.

I then added other things in those colors. As I said before I did add a large coffee table to the room. I will look into adding panels to my slider. I may have to do only the left side as there are 3 light switches on the right and a panel would be in the way there.

needs to be a space to get to the sliders. We haven't done the sofa on
the wall below the windows as we like the recliners to face the tv and
fireplace. Here is the floorplan so you can see what is hard to see in the pictures.Thanks for all of the wonderful suggestions and ideas, I truly
appreciate them all. I ordered curtain panels to match the dining room
ones today so I'll see when they get here what else I want to do.
