The circular stone border contains the mulch and repeats the smaller circular stone border around the fire pit area. Matching stepping stones connect those spaces as well as connect the play area to patio and steps entering the back yard. Chartreuse plants help to brighten this vary shady space. They wanted a cozy fire pit area that also contained a 3 piece natural rock bubbler. They also wanted a spa area with lounger space for sunbathing as well as a beach area for sandcastles and beach toy storage. No expense was spared with a custom pergola, natural rock retaining and steps as well as landscape lighting and well placed trees and shrubs. Concrete edge and aggregate beds make for a low maintenance dream yard!!

We utilized natural rock, large southern Alberta native trees and plantings, with rock slabs for steps down the walkout sides of the home. The new asphalt driveway will be going in now that the landscaping is complete.

The summerhouse and pergola were created with larch, oak and cedar and designed to have a rustic character. Steel steps in the lawn helped to transition from the upper lawn to the lower area.
