Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignAPLD 2021 Silver Award Winning Landscape Design. An expansive back yard landscape with several mature oak trees and a stunning Golden Locust tree has been transformed into a welcoming outdoor retreat. The renovations include a wraparound deck, an expansive travertine natural stone patio, stairways and pathways along with concrete retaining walls and column accents with dramatic planters. The pathways meander throughout the landscape... some with travertine stepping stones and gravel and those below the majestic oaks left natural with fallen leaves. Raised vegetable beds and fruit trees occupy some of the sunniest areas of the landscape. A variety of low-water and low-maintenance plants for both sunny and shady areas include several succulents, grasses, CA natives and other site-appropriate Mediterranean plants complimented by a variety of boulders. Erik Jones LandscapingThis Project Includes a large Waterfall, 100' of Stream, 3 Bridges, over 1000' of stone walls, a 500,000 gallon pond, an amphitheater, a peninsula, a beach, a boat launch ramp, boulders throughout the entire pond, large trees, a boat dock, stone stairs, multiple terraces out of decomposed granite, and a large parking area.
The Waterfall, which is the start of this large waterfeature, acts as the Cornerstone for this Project. A number of the boulders are up to 8 feet across! About 1200 gallons a minute (72,000gph) flows over this waterfall. The waterfeature moves 2000 gallons a minute (120,000gph) when everything is flowing!
The waterfall drops about 17' in total and the stream drops about 3' for a total of 20' of elevation change. There are koi, goldfish, and shubunkins in the pond!
The pond is used for vineyard irrigation as well as aesthetics.

Folia forges, out of eight solid steel sculpted petal-shaped pieces, painted in a gunmetal grey epoxy powder paint, a complete and mammoth Fire Pit of magnificent proportion and astounding design, resembling a flower.
Precise slots in each petal-shaped fold are custom slits to fit a rotisserie skewer to optimize the Folia’s functionality and purpose beyond bonfires and campfires. Elevating this striking structure is a base foundation and a plate to securely contain the fire within this wood-burning fire pit and to prevent fire-ground contact.

DGK ArchitectsThe courtyard of the house was based off the old industrial marine boatyards, with exposed brickwork and small square glazed panels. Over the generations, they were often patched and repaired with different glass panels, resulting in variance in colour and transparency. The steel framed doors open into the sunken courtyard that not only allowed for privacy but giving opportunity to create intrigue by way of light and shadow, dimension, and reflection - through lighting, materiality, wall openings and a water feature.
