Un joli carrelage aspect carreau de ciment mais moderne, sous cette cuisine ikea blanche aux moulures renforçant le côté un peu campagne, mais modernisé avec des boutons en métal noir, et une crédence qui n'est pas toute hauteur, en carreaux style métro plat vert sauge ! Des petits accessoires muraux viennent compléter le côté rétro de l'ensemble, éclairé par des suspensions design en béton.
Erika Jayne Design BuildTired of the original, segmented floor plan of their midcentury home, this young family was ready to make a big change. Inspired by their beloved collection of Heath Ceramics tableware and needing an open space for the family to gather to do homework, make bread, and enjoy Friday Pizza Night…a new kitchen was born.
Interior Architecture.
Removal of one wall that provided a major obstruction, but no structure, resulted in connection between the family room, dining room, and kitchen. The new open plan allowed for a large island with seating and better flow in and out of the kitchen and garage.
Interior Design.
Vertically stacked, handmade tiles from Heath Ceramics in Ogawa Green wrap the perimeter backsplash with a nod to midcentury design. A row of white oak slab doors conceal a hidden exhaust hood while offering a sleek modern vibe. Shelves float just below to display beloved tableware, cookbooks, and cherished souvenirs.
Balboa Design GroupMidcentury modern kitchen remodel fitted with IKEA cabinet boxes customized with white oak cabinet doors and drawers. Custom ceiling mounted hanging shelves offer an attractive alternative to traditional upper cabinets, and keep the space feeling open and airy. LD DesignBuilt in 1924, this apartment on lower Fifth Avenue was brought into the 21st century. The main focus of this ground up renovation was to create a direct link from the living room to the kitchen, creating a more open and airy plan. A closet was removed to connect the living room and kitchen while also allowing room for a large, extendable dining table.
In the kitchen, cabinets are custom made. Appliances are by Sub-Zero, Fisher-Paykel, and Bertazzoni. The faucet is by Dornbracht with a matte satin finish.

Battle Associates, ArchitectsWoodsy kitchen for guest house. This project was a Guest House for a long time Battle Associates Client. Smaller, smaller, smaller the owners kept saying about the guest cottage right on the water's edge. The result was an intimate, almost diminutive, two bedroom cottage for extended family visitors. White beadboard interiors and natural wood structure keep the house light and airy. The fold-away door to the screen porch allows the space to flow beautifully.
