This outdoor living space in Barrington Hills, IL has it all. The swimming pool measures 1,520 square feet, and is 3'6" to 10'0" deep. The hot tub measures 7'0" x 13'0" and is equipped with 16 hydrotherapy heads. Both pool and spa have colored LED lights. The spa has an automatic cover with stone lid system. Adjacent to the hot tub is a sunken bar with kitchen and grill, covered with a thatch palapa. The sunken bar doubles as a serving area for the 5 underwater bar stools within the pool. There is a sunshelf in the shallow area of the pool measuring 125 square feet that has 5 LED lit bubbler water features. There are two sets of shallow end steps attached to the sunshelf. The custom slide is constructed on a stacked stone structure which provides a large stone step system for entry. The pool and hot tub coping is Valders Wisconsin Limestone in Buff color, Sandblast finish with a modified squared edge. The pool has an in-floor automatic cleaning system. The interior surface is French Gray exposed aggregate finish. The pool is also equipped with Volleyball and Basketball systems.
Land & Water DesignThis project the home sat at the top of the hill with breathtaking views all around. The challenge was restrictions that dictated the placement of the pool a distance from the house. The final design was very pleasing with the swimming pool on the slope with these amazing views. A walkway leads from the side of the home to the pool gate. On entering the pool area, reveals a spa cascading into the pool, ample Techo-Bloc paver pool decking, and the valley laid out below. Design Studio by RaymondWhile not overly large by way of swimming purposes, the Pool allows the comfort of sunbathing on its umbrella covered wet shelf that is removable when full sunlight is required to work away those winter whites. Illuminated water runs around a wooden deck that feels as if you are floating over the pool and a submerged spa area transports you to the back of a yacht in harbor at night time.
The linear fire pit provides warmth on those rarely found winter days in Naples, yet offers nightly ambiance to the adjacent Spa or Lanai area for a focal point when enjoying the use of it. 12” x 24” Shell Stone lines the pool and lanai deck to create a tranquil pallet that moves the eye across its plain feel and focuses on the glass waterline tile and light grey glass infused pebble finish.
LED Bubblers line the submerged gas heated Spa so as to create both a sound and visual barrier to enclose the resident of this relaxation space and allow them to disappear into the warmth of the water while enjoying the ambient noise of their affects.
Betz Pools LimitedThe backyard’s low maintenance deck of architectural stamped concrete is beautifully complemented by the curving lines of the Wiarton pebble top stone coping. The soothing sounds of the spillover spa and sheer descent waterfall help to create a tranquil atmosphere.
Betz Pools LimitedTwin sets of stairs lead down to the 13 x 24 vinyl pool. Since space is at a premium, the pool has custom vinyl over steel curved “wedding cake” walk-in steps instead of the normal moulded fibreglass steps. This leaves enough additional deck space for two chaise lounges.
Ross Design Inc.New Rear Facade engages the pool and creates an intimate setting for entertaining. The bow window at the breakfast room and the Juliette Balcony in the master bedroom bring the outdoors in.
