Our client and designer were very specific in choosing marble effect tiles, freestanding bath and double vanity unit in wood finish with resin inset basins. Large walk-in shower perfectly fits in this spacious bathroom as our client requested 10mm glass and as frameless as possible. All this makes the result modern, light and very efficient.
Metropolis Drafting and Construction IncMaster suite addition to an existing 20's Spanish home in the heart of Sherman Oaks, approx. 300+ sq. added to this 1300sq. home to provide the needed master bedroom suite. the large 14' by 14' bedroom has a 1 lite French door to the back yard and a large window allowing much needed natural light, the new hardwood floors were matched to the existing wood flooring of the house, a Spanish style arch was done at the entrance to the master bedroom to conform with the rest of the architectural style of the home.
The master bathroom on the other hand was designed with a Scandinavian style mixed with Modern wall mounted toilet to preserve space and to allow a clean look, an amazing gloss finish freestanding vanity unit boasting wall mounted faucets and a whole wall tiled with 2x10 subway tile in a herringbone pattern.
For the floor tile we used 8x8 hand painted cement tile laid in a pattern pre determined prior to installation.
The wall mounted toilet has a huge open niche above it with a marble shelf to be used for decoration.
The huge shower boasts 2x10 herringbone pattern subway tile, a side to side niche with a marble shelf, the same marble material was also used for the shower step to give a clean look and act as a trim between the 8x8 cement tiles and the bark hex tile in the shower pan.
Notice the hidden drain in the center with tile inserts and the great modern plumbing fixtures in an old work antique bronze finish.
A walk-in closet was constructed as well to allow the much needed storage space.
Emergent Form ArchitectureWhile compact, this marbled master bath is bright and functional. Keeping the floor level continuous as it extends to the shower slot drain helps make the area feel larger. The frameless glass, floating vanity, wall-hung toilet, and perimeter lit medicine cabinet also keep it light and modern.

Delta Kitchens LtdThis bathroom renovation involved removing a bath/shower and built in furniture and replacing it with a walk in shower and a wall hung WC and vanity unit. The customer chose modern furniture and Porcelanosa tiles. The wide mirror makes the bathroom feel bigger and the LED strips give a useful amount of light. The tiled recess is a nice feature to the bathroom and gives extra storage for displaying ornaments or towels. We also fitted the customers SONOS speakers into the walls.

UserThe large custom shower is designed especially for steam showers. The transom can be closed while steaming. The steam element has controls inside the shower including an option for adding natural scented oils such as lavendar or eucalyptus. The fan controls are located right outside the shower door just in case you forget to turn it on. Either finish under the rainhead or use the multi head adjustable shower. We also opted to have this shower be curbless to visually add to the luxury appeal. Heated floors of course.
This Master Ensuite reflects the light, water and earth elements found on this home's substantial lake front site in south Burlington. Wall mounted shower bench seat and a wall mounted Kohler Veil toilet are design details. Luxury feel of marble envelops and calms. The seating overlooks Lake Ontario - great spot for a steam shower.

Aucott Interior Design LtdA complete refurbishment of the Master Bedroom En-suite. This was a very complicated space to configure as it had to accommodate a full size free-standing bath and a large walk-in shower with bespoke glass. We disguised the wardrobe by cutting the door into the tongue and groove paneling for a discrete finish.
