Lincoln Lighthill ArchitectLincoln Lighthill Architect employed several discrete updates that collectively transform this existing row house.
At the heart of the home, a section of floor was removed at the top level to open up the existing stair and allow light from a new skylight to penetrate deep into the home. The stair itself received a new maple guardrail and planter, with a Fiddle-leaf fig tree growing up through the opening towards the skylight.
On the top living level, an awkwardly located entrance to a full bathroom directly off the main stair was moved around the corner and out of the way by removing a little used tub from the bathroom, as well as an outdated heater in the back corner. This created a more discrete entrance to the existing, now half-bath, and opened up a space for a wall of pantry cabinets with built-in refrigerator, and an office nook at the rear of the house with a huge new awning window to let in light and air.
Downstairs, the two existing bathrooms were reconfigured and recreated as dedicated master and kids baths. The kids bath uses yellow and white hexagonal Heath tile to create a pixelated celebration of color. The master bath, hidden behind a flush wall of walnut cabinetry, utilizes another Heath tile color to create a calming retreat.
Throughout the home, walnut thin-ply cabinetry creates a strong contrast to the existing maple flooring, while the exposed blond edges of the material tie the two together. Rounded edges on integral pulls and door edges create pinstripe detailing that adds richness and a sense of playfulness to the design.

Removed doors that were not needed in the hall to give the space a more open feeling as you move though the condo. The bathroom were gutted and re - invented to storage galore. All the while keeping in the coastal style the clients desired. Navy was the accent color we used throughout the condo. This new look is the clients to a tee.
Younique DesignsThe colorful tile behind the vanity is stained wood and gives the impression of nautical flags. Shiplap walls are the perfect detail in our coastal cottage. The ceilings were stained turquoise to bring your eye upward, showing off the new height of the cilings. Tons of transom windows were added allowing light to flood into the space.

Небольшая площадь 4,5м2 позволили разместить душевую кабину, умывальник с тумбой, унитаз. Высокий потолок в таком небольшом и вытянутом помещении нельзя назвать плюсом. Этот вопрос дизайнеры решили делением отделки стен на разные материалы и цветовые акценты. Высокий плиточный плинтус, в цвет пола, визуально расширил пространство. Сочетание плитки и покраски в отделки стен вносят разнообразие. Дизайнеры отказались от использования поддона в душевой и возведения капитальной стены, в качестве душевой перегородки. Поддон сильно загромождал бы небольшое помещение, а прозрачная стеклянная перегородка прекрасно выполняет функцию изоляции от брызг и пропускает естественный свет от окна, не меняя геометрию комнаты. Лаконичную белую кафельную поверхность Кристина Шкварина декорировала яркой росписью в своей керамической мастерской. Цветочный орнамент с птицами, стилизован под диковинные растения из сказочного сада. Такие небольшие яркие акценты доставляют веселье и радость маленьким пользователям. Imperfect InteriorsThe loft bathroom was kept simple with geometric grey and white tiles on the floor and continuing up the wall in the shower. The Velux skylight and pitch of the ceiling meant that the glass shower enclosure had to be made to measure.
Angela Francis Interiors, LLCThis home had a very small bathroom for the combined use of their teenagers and guests. The space was a tight 5'x7'. By adding just 2 feet by taking the space from the closet in an adjoining room, we were able to make this bathroom more functional and feel much more spacious.
The show-stopper is the glass and metal mosaic wall tile above the vanity. The chevron tile in the shower niche complements the wall tile nicely, while having plenty of style on its own.
To tie everything together, we continued the same tile from the shower all around the room to create a wainscot.
The weathered-look hexagon floor tile is stylish yet subtle.
We chose to use a heavily frosted door to keep the room feeling lighter and more spacious.
Often when you have a lot of elements that can totally stand on their own, it can overwhelm a space. However, in this case everything complements the other. The style is fun and stylish for the every-day use of teenagers and young adults, while still being sophisticated enough for use by guests.
King Visual Design Inc.This small bathroom for a boy has a lot of impact and playfulness due to the bubble tiles. The shower has a Perrin and Rowe exposed shower pipe with hand shower and large rainhead. The shower enclosure is glass with rolling glass door. The vanity faucet is mounted to the mirror face and is from Perrin and Rowe. The small cabinet behind the toilet holds tissue and toletries. This bathroom was so compact in size, the custom vanity had to have a curved front to allow the door to swing past.
