Kitchen MagicThe farmhouse kitchen design has been popular for years. Who doesn’t love the downhome feel of a rustic and cozy space? This Pennsylvania family’s kitchen exemplifies everything wonderful about this style. Their kitchen has an allure that draws you in and details that invite you to stay.
Tearing out the old, outdated cabinets and replacing them with custom updates was the way to go. While they loved the classic farmhouse style, they were seeking a cabinet door design that would stand the test of time. White Shaker on the perimeter cabinets and Colonial Blue cabinetry on the island, making a beautiful distinction from the white perimeter. Cambria quartz countertops in Fieldstone and Carrick on the island for a touch of glaour. Carerra white marble on the back splash in subway style.

Maraya Interior DesignOld World Mix of Spanish and English graces this completely remodeled old home in Hope Ranch, Santa Barbara. All new painted cabinets throughout, with glossy and satin finishes mixed with antiques discovered throughout the world. A wonderful mix of the owner's antique red rugs over the slate and bleached walnut floors pared with an eclectic modern art collection give a contemporary feel to this old style villa. A new pantry crafted from the unused 'maids room' attaches to the kitchen with a glossy blue island and white cabinetry. Large red velvet drapes separate the very large great room with the limestone fireplace and oversized upholstery from the kitchen area. Upstairs the library is created from an attic space, with long cushioned window seats in a wild mix of reds and blues. Several unique upstairs rooms for guests with on suite baths in different colors and styles. Black and white bath, Red bedroom, blue bedrooms, all with unique art. Off of the master features a sun room with a long, low extra long sofa, grass shades and soft drapes.

Redefine Furniture & MoreOur project was to provide as much storage area in the kitchen and have an open concept that shows elegance and functionality. We selected shaker style cabinets in the white tone to make the space open . Back splash had both marble and stainless steel accents that complimented the kitchen handles. Using Natural Quartz on the oversized island and the rest of the kitchen.

The kitchen was designed using Starmark Cabinetry's Huntingford Maple door style finished in a tinted varnish color called Macadamia. The hardware used is from Berenson's Opus Collection in Rubbed Bronze.

Bilotta Kitchen & HomeBilotta senior designer, Paula Greer, teamed up with architect, Robin Zahn to design this large gourmet kitchen for a family that does a lot of entertaining and cooking. While the wife was the decision maker for the overall aesthetics, the functionality of the space was driven by the husband, the aspiring chef. He had specific requests on how he wanted his “work area” set up. The team designed a cooking area featuring a 48” range across from a prep sink surrounded by 10 feet of work space. All the cooking essentials are at arm’s length – spice pull-out; interior knife block; baskets for root vegetables; cooking utensil drawers; and even a stainless-steel shelf above the range to keep plates warm before serving. Further down, away from the “chef”, is the “clean-up” area with a larger sink and the dishwasher. The microwave and the refrigerators/freezers are also at this opposite end, keeping the rest of the family out of his space when he’s cooking. This was his #1 request. The wet bar, just off of the kitchen, also houses a beverage unit and the coffee maker which keeps people out of the way during prep time. The kitchen was part of a larger addition which allowed them to incorporate the high ceiling, opening up the space to make room for the 6 feet worth of refrigeration and the large 10-foot island that works simultaneously for prep and eating. The Artistic Tile mosaic backsplash, where possible, starts at the countertop and continues all the way up to the molding at the ceiling emphasizing the height of the space, and the size of the room, even more.
Pineapple House Interior DesignA dynamic marble back splash behind the gas range is a compelling focal point. A flat, easy-to-clean, custom, stainless-steel plate frames the exhaust fan in the bridge above the range. Two islands & ceiling-high cabinetry quadruple the previous counter & storage space. The seven foot prep island services the 48” paneled refrigerator & 48” gas range & includes 2nd sink, 2nd dishwasher & 2nd trash/recycling station, while the nine foot multipurpose island with seating services three work stations with multiple storage options for each workstation. Both sink spigots are touch-less & are fed by whole-house water filtration system.

Simply Home DecoratingOur clients hired us to completely renovate and furnish their PEI home — and the results were transformative. Inspired by their natural views and love of entertaining, each space in this PEI home is distinctly original yet part of the collective whole.
We used color, patterns, and texture to invite personality into every room: the fish scale tile backsplash mosaic in the kitchen, the custom lighting installation in the dining room, the unique wallpapers in the pantry, powder room and mudroom, and the gorgeous natural stone surfaces in the primary bathroom and family room.
We also hand-designed several features in every room, from custom furnishings to storage benches and shelving to unique honeycomb-shaped bar shelves in the basement lounge.
The result is a home designed for relaxing, gathering, and enjoying the simple life as a couple.

Rebecca Reynolds Design -New Canaan KitchensA complete makeover of a tired 1990s mahogany kitchen in a stately Greenwich back country manor.
We couldn't change the windows in this project due to exterior restrictions but the fix was clear.
We transformed the entire space of the kitchen and adjoining grand family room space by removing the dark cabinetry and painting over all the mahogany millwork in the entire space. The adjoining family walls with a trapezoidal vaulted ceiling needed some definition to ground the room. We added painted paneled walls 2/3rds of the way up to entire family room perimeter and reworked the entire fireplace wall with new surround, new stone and custom cabinetry around it with room for an 85" TV.
The end wall in the family room had floor to ceiling gorgeous windows and Millowrk details. Once everything installed, painted and furnished the entire space became connected and cohesive as the central living area in the home.
