“Peter Collins exceeded our expectations in a difficult project, that of designing a renovation with 21st century requirements in a nineteenth century house, yet sensitively acknowledging the spirit of the place. All doors were rehung, stones from the original "foundation" were used in an interior wall, original redwood exterior siding was used to panel the library, and original 6x6 joices reworked as exposed beams in a bedroom. Peter and his group were very approachable and performed in a timely manner.”

We at first felt that what we were hoping to build would be too small and our budget too limited for Obie to be willing to take us on as clients. Wrong. He seemed honestly excited about designing a special home on a small budget. Obie talked to us about what was important to us in our home. He studied our previous home and asked pertinent questions. He listened and then creatively put all of our wants into a home filled with creative touches that make it small, modest in cost, and special. We love the end result!”
