When we opted to switch design firms, Cobb Hill kept working with us to get us a realistic price, before we moved forward. From pricing the project to using project planning to keep us on schedule and within budget, Cobb Hill made the difference in giving us a fantastic experience. They have been doing what they do a long time and their business is built on straight dealing and assigning the right man/or woman for the job. I'm a Project Management Professional and my husband is an Engineer, so we were expecting a lot, and Cobb Hill delivered. Their staff were courteous, neat, qualified and always ready to help when we had questions or concerns. We cannot say enough about this company and its ability to meet and exceed expectations. “The Snow Brothers are very easy to work with. They are excellent builders, and will work within your budget. One of the most valuable traits is their honesty - they will give you their opinion on whether or not something will work or not in your environment - and have enough experience to offer alternatives that might be more appropriate. They are very responsive returning calls and emails promptly. Their work is neat and of the highest quality. Their subs are also very polite and very experienced. They also have great sense of humors which is necessary when building a new house!”

“We have contracted with Earthshare Construction to design and restore a 19th century Vermont farmhouse. We chose Earthshare Construction because of owner Ethan Cole's commitment to the environment, knowledge of period home construction, responsiveness to our questions, and an overall balance of authority and openness to our design requests. We originally planned on tackling the project ourselves believing our remodeling projects over the past 30 years would suffice. We decided to call a few contractors in just to see if we were on the right track. I was sold on Ethan as the contractor for us when he quickly assessed our view and stated "We need to find a way to bring the outdoors in!" Throughout the design stage Ethan has been true to that vision and has recognized the beauty of incorporating and retrofitting original aspects of the house. Our design plans do just that in an environmentally responsible way. We begin construction in the next few weeks and look forward to working with Ethan over the next year.”

“Jeff Howe initially built a basement deck and hot tub structure for us, doing it efficiently and effectively and on time. Several months later, we had him renovate our (awful) kitchen, gutting it to the studs, installing much needed insulation, replacing the laminate floor with matching hardwood, and then putting in all the cabinets, hardware, appliances, lighting, etc. I know I am forgetting something but he got it all done and ON TIME. He and his crew were always ontime, reliable, skilled, funny and fun to work with as well as being master craftsmen at their jobs. Jeff is also a finish carpenter, so all my woodwork, molding and everything are precise and look amazing. The entire kitchen is a working showpiece, one that I am proud to show off. And I am proud to recommend Jeff to others, as he did truly wonderful job. And he was VERY reasonable. The price for the entire kitchen was just under $40K as we replaced every appliance and added a couple others ($10K); the cabinets were $20K, and Jeff got the rest. We will absolutely ask him to do other renovations for us.”

“Don Pangburn completed an extensive project for me after my home experienced significant water damage due to a faulty plumbing fixture. Work included carpentry, electrical, drywall, plaster, painting and installing new counter tops. Don is a craftsman and does outstanding work, is very knowledgeable about all aspects of residential construction and is very honest. I will continue to use Don for projects at my home and would recommend him for any type of residential construction.”
