I have painted the trim and doors the same color. it is a bit much on the white side. The walls are Revere Pewter and the trim is White Dove. All Benjamin Moore paint.
Should I paint the doors another color or possibly the panels?
They only have one coat so far. Other rooms will have different wall colors, the trim is the same. Two of the pictures show Revere Pewter and two show Classic Gray on the walls.

Can you paint cement and ceramic tile?
Commentaires (2)Hi Pamela, Yes you can but note that it won't last forever because it is paint after all. However when you apply it the correct way, it can last for a few years. You could use Homax Tough Tile Tub & Sink Refinishing Kit (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Homax-Tough-as-Tile-One-Part-Brush-On-White-2106/202061380#) , which you can find at Home Depot for about $35 or so. I used it for the bath tub and tiles in the bathroom and love how it came out. Let's say that it is the next best solution if you want to change the look of your tiles on a budget. Just be aware that it is very toxic so you may want to wear gloves and a mask because the epoxy gives off some really nasty fumes. I’d even say, best to open the windows if possible. Having the right basics to work off are crucial so make sure to first and foremost clean your tile with the solution that is in the kit. Once the tiles are clean you can apply the epoxy paint with the brush that is in the kit. Don’t worry about the brush strokes, as they will even out eventually. You will need to apply more than one coat but make sure the first one is dry before applying the second one. It takes a few hours for the first one to dry. Two coats were sufficient to cover my tile and provide a great looking finish but if you want to apply more (depending on the tiles’ existing color) you can. Note that you can also paint the grout in between. On the box it says that it is completely dry after a few days but I’d say one week to be safe. Commentaires (39)Bonjour, vos meubles de cuisine me semble en bon état et la couleur est assez neutre pour traverser les années. Le gris ne se démode pas ... SI vous voulez quelque chose de plus chaleureux, vous pouvez les peindre dans un ton de greige (entre le gris et le beige, ce qui vous permet de coordonner avec des tons chaud ou froid). Je changerai plutôt le plan de travail ainsi que la crédence. Vous pouvez prendre un plan de travail d'une seule pièce (plus facile d'entretien qu'avec les petits carreaux) avec un effet marbre en finition mat (cela donne à la fois un rendu classique et moderne) et faire la crédence dans la même matière. Si vous voulez apporter une touche décorative et créer un rappel avec le sol, vous pouvez opter pour un plan de travail plan et une crédence décorative, avec des carreaux colorés ou à motifs. Enfin, vous pouvez changer vos boutons de portes par des poignées coquilles ou droite, plus facile pour la prise de main. Concernant les murs de la cuisine, vous pouvez les peindre dans une teinte un peu plus foncé que la cuisine, ou plus clair selon l'aménagement de votre salon. Un vert sauge peut également faire ressortir l'ensemble et bien s'harmoniser avec les tomettes. Bonne suite dans votre projet !... Voir plusCuisine 11 m2 avec ilot ?

I'm not trying to criticize, the space seems new, with quality materials and well-lit, but have you also noticed the other big white walls? and ceiling? Why just the wall with the mirror? You've got a majority of white, a good dose of black, some chrome / stainless steel details and an uninterrupted shiny pale wood floor. It's relatively astonishing that you have a white door and only one white window, but the other window is black? Everything is relativement anonymous, nice, but nothing too ground-breaking. Is this a rental or your own home? Are you sure that just some art on that one wall will make it cozy and beautiful? Have you thought about any window treatments? Store venetien? Rideaux? Store bateaux? Any type of rug under the dining table? A rug called Bolon, made of woven vinyl fibers, easily cleaned ant anti-allergy. Is the mirror not on the axis of the table on purpose? And why a dark wood? It adds to the "window types", a black one, a white one and the wooden mirror one... Some more information would be helpful. good luck, Lynn... Voir pluspaarlberg

il y a 10 ansIt was fairly common back then to paint inset panels a very slightly different color of white (or a different sheen) or a pale color to give the room more dimension, but not so dark that it is that noticeable at first glance. Historical productions by the BBC are terrific for this, like their version of Pride and Predjudice, Middlemarch, etc.. Maggie Smith's house in Downton Abbey, and the movie version of Sense and Sensibility,
There was a post awhile ago about paint colors for a dining room that had specific recommendations for shades of white for paneled walls. Probably would be hard to find now...
The walls in the drawing room in the show looked like creamy white, light green or blue green depending on the light, and this picture from the film location Byfleet Manor, it looks grey, almost like your walls. Revere Pewter has that chameleon quality--maybe a lighter version would work.
