TreHus Architects+Interior Designers+BuildersThe handsomely crafted porch extends the living area of the home’s den by 250 square feet and includes a wood burning fireplace faced with stone. The Chilton stone on the fireplace matches the stone of an existing retaining wall on the site. The exposed beams, posts and 2” bevel siding are clear cedar and lightly stained to highlight the natural grain of the wood. The existing bluestone patio pavers were taken up, stored on site during construction and reconfigured for paths from the house around the porch and to the garage. Stonepocket Unique LandscapesLandscape by Stonepocket located in Minnetonka, Minnesota Creating a elegant landscape to blend with a home with such character and charm was a challenge in controlled resistant. Did not want the landscape to overwhelm the home, nor did I want a typical landscape for this style that usually involves a box hedge. Utilizing light in the front to create a perennial garden give the home a sense of place. Keep the planting mostly to whites and greens in the back unifies the space.

Howell Custom Building GroupAt the far end of the deck, a three season room was added off of the living room, providing a shady respite for dining and relaxing. This room features built in cabinetry to store off season screens or glass panels, as well as outdoor dining wear. A Douglas Fir ceiling is finished with a marine varnish for a nautical look.
Above the three season room, a roof deck was added off of the master bedroom suite providing private, serene adult space.
