Retaining wall plant ideas

Would love some suggestions about which plants to put in the retaining wall in our courtyard. It’s quite long (about 6m) so I think just one plant will be quite boring.
There are a few things we’d like:
Low maintenance, shallow root system, nice lush green look is what we’re going for.
We thought of doing a Korean box and planting 3-4 small trees that wouldn’t get higher than ~4m and that doesn’t encroach on the living space as the area is only small...any ideas?
Or even vibernum at the back (would like it to get to 1.5-2m) and then another smaller plant at the front...but I’m not sure what.

Pourquoi ne pas investir dans un second pot identique au premier et le modifier un peu: découper la fibre de verre (se protéger les yeux et porter des vêtements longs!) à la meuleuse pour incorporer le regard EP dedans et riveter un nouveau fond dans le pot... Au pire un second bambou en pot placé sur cales à l'intérieur fera illusion... Et vous cacherez en partie la descente d'eau pluviales! C'est ce que j'aurais fait! Après une quinzaine d'années et un changement de région, à mon arrivée en Bretagne je me suis intérogée et j'ai appris que Cécile en Breton était Aziliz... Commentaires (2)Thanks, indeed. A rug would be an option, but our 2 small kids eat like pigs... This option is for later :0) Does anybody have an idea that fits our minimalistic style? We are not fan of "busy" spaces. Is there any technical solution? Sth we could stick under the table or a trick, magical plants perhaps?... Commentaires (84)bonjour, ils sont très bien les rideaux que vous avez trouvé, le bleu est bien clair et dans les tons pastels que nous utilisions beaucoup en Scandinavie. Le bleu assortie pour le coussin est parfait. Si vous souhaitez vous rapprocher du style Scandinave il faut choisir entre rideaux et voilage comme on ne mets jamais le deux, beaucoup trop lourd pour nous intérieurs ou on essaye toujours garder une luminosité maximale. En Tunisie vous avez le problème contraire donc il faudra s'adapter et trouver une équilibre entre le style Scandinave et vous besoins. Si vous souhaitez avoir une voilage je conseillerai vivement un blanc uni, sans rayure! votre tableau bleu et jaune sera très bien avec l'ensemble, il est très beau!... Voir plus

il y a 5 ansHi Kel, the pittosporum ‘golf ball’ is a fabulous plant, has a rounded shape that needs minimal trimming or none at all, makes a fab hedge and the foliage and colour is gorgeous, it highlights other plants , would look great in front of Murraya (divine perfume) or Magnolias or if you want to get creative Star Jasmine trained on a wire as per your photo would look stunning and smell gorgeous too.
