Grand Bay Building and RemodelingCustom crafted railing- note the tee and golf ball design which lends character to this golf course home. One staircase leads to the lower level and another to the upper office set into the roof- from there a ship's ladder stair leads to a rooftop observation deck.
UserThe railing had golden oak handrails and base and white balusters. The first step was to remove the white balusters and strip the oak handrail and base down to the bare wood. From there we custom fit and created our BENT iron railing design as inserts. The iron was powder coated in a oil rubbed bronze finish.
From that point the BENT iron railing was then installed and attached to the handrail and wood base. Then the bare wood was stained in a Jacobean color creating a distressed look.
Mibroc GroupThe house bridges over a swale in the land twice in the form of a C. The centre of the C is the main living area, while, together with the bridges, features floor to ceiling glazing set into a Douglas fir glulam post and beam structure. The Southern wing leads off the C to enclose the guest wing with garages below. It was important to us that the home sit quietly in its setting and was meant to have a strong connection to the land.
