Dena Thomas DesignsRe-constructed this grand kitchen with painting the perimeter cabinets in white and soft glaze in grey to match the islands. Replacing the islands with two long islands in grey and a darker grey glaze. Black hardware and light fixtures. Brick subway back splash.

Erica Peale DesignThis bold black and white modern kitchen is a workhorse! Double islands fill the grand space with loads of storage and counter surface for food preparation and entertaining. A mix of black lower cabinets with white upper cabinetry is softened with beautiful brass hardware and lighting. A marble herringbone tile lends organic texture and walnut accents warm the space.

It was constructed with high quality fittings and fixtures. Complete with high gloss polished Jarrah Timber flooring and in the large kitchen traditional cabinetry and shelving are complimented by luxurious stone bench tops giving this house has an old school feel. Built to the owners strict specifications this home boasts some pretty impressive features and has a real wow factor about it!

A beautiful composition that comprises of a pair of island units at its generous heart. The soft, two-tone melody of teal and mocha harmonises this scheme in a way that is both subtle and distinctive. The added touch of grooved and textured cabinetry makes this kitchen as unique as the family for which it was created. Bronze handles add a hint of glamour and complement the effect of the windows. Restrained yet welcoming, classic in feel yet with a contemporary panache, this design hits all the right notes.

ArtichokeThe design for this bespoke kitchen was inspired by the kitchen in Castle Drogo, designed by the architect Edwin Lutyens. Artichoke was involved in the design of the kitchen aswell as the interior architectural detailing of the chimney corbels and inset dish above the Aga (both details taken from other Lutyens buildings). The stone on the two islands is 30mm thick although 20mm was set into the furniture to ensure visitors are not presented with a wall of stone on entering the room. The top cabinets were inset into the wall and lacquered to colour-match the interior design, hiding them from view.

Multiple glass pocket doors disappear into the walls to reveal the private backyard resort-like retreat. Extensive tiered and integrated retaining walls allow both a usable rear yard and an expansive front entry and driveway to greet guests as they reach the summit. Inside the wine and libations can be stored and shared from several locations in this entertainer’s dream.
