MOTIF Design Solutions, LLCMOTIF transformed a standard bedroom into this artful and inviting home office with the potential of being used a guest room when the occasion arises. Soft wall colors, a textured area rug, a built in desk are counterpoint to a cozy sofa bench -- which doubles as a twin bed or can be transformed into a queen bed by pulling the pieces apart and reconnecting them in another configuration.
It is a surprising and unexpected room and is both functional and beautiful.

Дарья ВарламоваБлок сына выполнен в несколько ином стиле по сравнению с остальным домом. Сыну и его супруге больше по душе спокойные скандинавские интерьеры, более брутальные и строгие. Здесь кровать также стоит к окну. Надо сказать, что существуют некоторые правила, по которым мебель соотносится с размерами окон. Коротко: мебель должна уважать размеры окон. Но супруги хотели большую кровать размером 180*210. А окна в помещении маленькие. Поэтому правила существуют для того, чтобы их нарушать. Размеры окон визуально легко скорректировать с помощью штор. Поэтому шторы я повесила значительно шире оконных проемов и таким образом шторы не только обрамляют окна, но и кровать.
Мне нравится использовать в отделке внутренних помещений материалы, предназначенные для фасада. Так, стену напротив кровати украшает декоративный кирпич из коллекци «Скандинавский камеинь». Его грубая шероховатая поверхность как раз и работает на создание загородного, мужского, я бы даже сказала брутального интерьера.
Эту тему поддерживает керамогранит на полу под старую доску. Кровать выполнена по моим чертежам из стали и массива сосны. В оформлении использован контраст круглых и рубленых форм. Декор окон выполнен из натурального льна для поддержание загородного настроения. Облегчает этот мужской интерьер элегантный цвет стен: серо-голубо-сиреневый.

Large Master bedroom with sliding glass doors to the front patio and views of boulders. Furniture mix includes a simple low modern king-size bed with a mix of bedding from West Elm, an African hand-embroidered black and white blanket, and a large custom lumbar Kathryn M Ireland pillow. The ceiling picture is a vintage 60's ceramic pendant, painted with Annie Sloan white chalk paint. A collection of vintage oil paintings -- several of desert scenes - capture the outdoor feeling and bring it inside A pink velvet French-style large bergere from Restoration Hardware somehow matches with the mid-century twig nightstands, and a pink formica boomerang side table. Bedside lamps from Target, and a mix of vintage bedside rugs include a rattan woven mat from IKEA. The bulk of the budget here went for a 100% latex mattress and the antique wooden bench at the foot of the bed. A true design mix.
